[Resolved]  Oyo Rooms — Refund not received for a booking cancelled by their hotel provider.

I had booked a room to stay for two days[protected] &[protected] in Bangalore via OYO Rooms on 11th of July by paying full amount of 945INR. On 12th morning when I reached first hotel, they called and said that the hotel has rejected my booking so they asked me if I'm okay to go to another hotel of the same price, I said okay and took a cab to another hotel, where again I was denied a room. I was there for a meeting at 2:00PM but until 12 PM I was waiting outside on the road, when I called OYO customer care they apologised and said that they'll cancel my booking and refund the money since I requested the same. So I booked a hotel near my office directly on my own and stayed there. They said the amount of 945INR will be refunded since it was a mistake from their side and they had cancelled the booking and that reflected in the oyo app. It still says pending refund of 945INR but it's more than 3months still they haven't refunded the money yet. I see some fake offer money of 193 INR which was refunded in oyo app itself, which went in along with the actual money I paid during booking, I'm not interested in it. I tried calling the oyo rooms customer care but on every attempts they're disconnecting the call after hearing my request. I specifically asked them to connect me to some responsible person but they either disconnect or keep looping the customer care IVR message without any response from app. After multiple attempts I feel cheated because I lost my money for a booking that didn't go through as planned and to get the refund even after 3months they're not at all responding and are stalling all my requests. I'm deeply pained because of their irresponsible behaviour that they made me spend money for cabs to reach two hotels to hear the same rejected message and got me delayed from attending a most important meeting leading to consequences in my employment and now they're not also responding to the calls. When I go through internet forums I see a lot of people complaining of the same response from OYO rooms and claiming that they don't refund most of the times, I will not rest until I get the money back from them and an apology for humiliating me like this. Imagine the plight of people who'd booked via this fraudulent app for their family, they would've been treated the same way. I see that their websites for USA and other countries are more responsive and are offering good support services, only in India they're making us run pillar to post like this, please do let others know about fraudulent companies and save us from the clutches of such opportunistic fraudsters. I would like to get my money refunded from them in my bank account using which I'd paid and not in their fraudulent app wallet, I have no intention to go through this mess again, Please do help me out. I'm attaching 1. booking screenshot, with details of booking. 2. Refund screenshot of pending amount. 3. Transaction details of the money paid to oyorooms for booking. I also have a call recording, there's more to this story, even tried raising a complaint via consumer helpline of Government of India, but they too closed the request by saying no response from OYO, see how adamant they are and how irresponsible the company is, shame on them for treating their customers like this, hope others will look at this and think twice before using these fraudsters, Regards, Rajesh

After raising a complaint in govt consumer portal, OYO didn't refund. Even after raising in this forum they just gave a reply but finally once I shared my issue via twitter, they responded, asked for account details and refunded the money within a few days. So I recommend others also to take such matters public, only then the company is responding properly what a shame on them, 3 months to get the money I paid for a cancelled booking that too after so many follow ups. I'll never try that company ever, hope this will help others as well. Thanks.
