Qnet — Fraudulent direct selling scheme using emotional manipulation, unethical practices and financial pressure

Address: Bangalore

I want to report a deceptive business scheme that misleads individuals into investing large sums of money under false promises of financial success. Their approach involves manipulation, financial pressure, and lack of transparency, trapping unsuspecting people into financial loss.

Initially, I received a call from a person claiming to be a senior business client of my friend. He vaguely mentioned a business opportunity but did not reveal the company name or product details. Later, they scheduled a business discussion with me.
Recently two weeks ago, I was invited to Starbucks, where a woman introduced herself as a business client. She told me that another senior person — who is extremely busy — would be joining us soon, making it seem like I was getting a special and rare opportunity.

The discussion lasted for 1-2 hours, during which they described their business as a direct selling model, claiming that manufacturing products are sold directly to customers. However, they never disclosed any specific products or the company name. When I asked about my role, they vaguely referred to it as a "business consultant" without providing any clarity on what I would actually be doing. Instead, they focused on how their mentor had earned crores, using this as proof of success.

High-Pressure Tactics Used:

The next day, they called to congratulate me, saying that I was selected as a "business partner" and should confirm my decision immediately.

They pressured me to arrange ₹5 lakh, breaking it down as follows:

₹3 lakh for a "products and license"
₹1 lakh as a "buffer"
Other 70% for abroad business trip

They tried to convince me to take a loan, even suggesting how to convince my parents or, worst case, take the loan without informing them.

They claimed the investment would be recovered within 5-6 months, or at most, 1 year, which is completely unrealistic.

To increase the urgency, they told me they weren’t sure if this position would be available later, making it seem like I had to act immediately or miss out.

When I asked about the actual work, they avoided giving a clear answer and just said that once I joined as a "business consultant," my position would be revised later. This was a clear attempt to make me commit without fully understanding

PUBLIC WARNING:
If you guys are approached in this way, this is nothing but chain business which is basically pyramid scheme, with so called products which makes this legal MLM where one fool is fooling others to get into this.
