Quikr.com Complaint — fraud | |||||
I had uploaded an advertisement for selling cross trainer on quikr.com I received several email by a person called manisha sharma ([protected]@hotmail.com) saying she is interested in buying the cross trainer as she's residing in uk she's buying it for her son in india and has sent the cheque for that amount. There were so many details which makes you fall prey to such information. Two days later i received a call from another person suman matt william saying he is the agent from lufthansa ([protected]@yahoo.com) saying the package is delivered at delhi airport and i will have to make the payment of 8500 for receiving the product. Sounded fishy with the name and the amount quoted, the email id's. Please do check on all these details when interacting for online transactions. Following attachments are the mail i have got from her where i was almost a victim of cyberscam if it were not the details i paid attention to. Suman matt williams and other people with indian names are fraud trying to rob people of 8500/ on quikr. Be aware of this fraud from people targeting you through quikr items listed by you. I too was contacted by ms manisha sharma from the same email id demanding a similar amount with the courier company seeking the postal charges.

Same thing happened to me too. Someone called from the number [protected] saying that I have to pay Rs. 8, 500/-. Line was not clear so I said please call me again. Then I tried to call the number and number is switched off. I have got same Cheque and Airway Bill.

Same here... However thanks to this Page it did not get to the point of me getting a call. Thank u guys now I know how people can make a fool out o[censored].
I received an email from Shruti Conway, asking me to pay 8, 500 which i had put an advertisement in quikr.com.
Be careful frauds are more in India.
