Quikr — Fraud with dealer in quikr

Dear Quikr team
i have been thankful to the valuable platform quikr has given me I have sold my car in the past and 2 gym equipments but unfortunately i have encountered my worst ever experience of life thru an ad i saw at quikr

I was in need of a phone for self and wife from a long time now i used to browse quikr refurbished phones and standard ads for a month now

on sunday 30th october i came across and ad in quicker posted by mrjadeja2412 and chatted with him regarding the same as i was interested

the user posted images of an iphone 6 16gb and calimed to be a dealer of such phones

he then contacted me via whats app and sent me the images

i checked with him if he had any more phones he said he has plenty as he was a dealer

i showed interest to purchase 2 phones
i transferred 23000 to his account on 1st NOvember

on 3rd november he couriered the phones and when the courier was about to reach he threatened me to stop the courier if i dont transfer complete money to him

i deposoted cash for the balance payment

i received the courier on 4th november to find that it was not an iphone but a CLONE of i phone worth 10000

it is very unfortunate that quikr has become a platform for cheats and frauds by large

i have lodged an FIR at the nearest police station with all the information i have

i would file a case against the user and QUIKR as i have read about many people who have caome across the same issue

i saved for a phone since a year and all my money has just gone to some fraud

i would never again use QUIKR and would not encourage any one in social media to do so by sharing my experience

will pursue the case against Quikr and the dealer and would be hopeful to get justice

as a classfield provider quikr must warn all users against fraud instead it keeps on messaging about the ads that keep coming and promotes frausters

shall share a copy of the notice and PIL soon
