The Principal of RBGS and the School Management staff - Mr. Murugan didn't kept their words. Because of them i didn't took the offer of the other school and fully trusted on them and for the full year i was jobless. After promising the May month salary and also to continue for the subsequent academic year in the same school, the Principal asked me at the last moment when the academic year commenced, that your service is not required and didn't paid my May salary.

If Principal of the School is like this what lesson the children of the School will learn. What honesty and truth the children will learn if the Principal and Management staff is not honest and true to their words.

Money is not the big problem, but one should learn to keep their words. I don't think the Principal or Management Staff is paying out of their pocket.

Every parents should be aware of the Educational system & the Law. What you have mentioned here looks like your kid is not put-up in the right place. Instead of spending a huge amount for his or her education, you can put up them into a Matric medium. And regarding the High fees, donations, etc, etc, collected by this kind of school is a new style to bring their school name into the public, and you cant do anything regarding the high fees collection. But any board of schools should follow the G-O, facilities of the school should be designed and maintained properly according to the G-O, if you find the school with out a play ground, and bathroom facilities, etc etc.. you can report to the Educational department (DO), and to the district collector which will be very very effective.

as i had seen this post i inspected the school recently but i didn't found such bad things about this school.Because of few things we cannot judge a school . In and around i had enquired about few schools i wasn't such bad compared to others.

My son ( 2 yrs 4 months ) was not given admission in pre kg as they feel his pronunciation is not that clear. Wonder what more they expect from 2 yrs 4 months kid.

Anyways on seeing this post i am happy that we were not provided seat.

yes, this is a very over charged. They give all false commitment and the management do not have any ethics. how do you expect someone teaching without ethics. we are just ruining our kids career.

It's not a true statement they are providing good environment and good programs recently they conducted annual day program every students they participate in very happily they enjoyed a lot.
We expecting from school
1. Good environment
2. Good education
3. Good behaviour
Apart from that what we need.
My kid is studying there 4th class he is selected NASA I proud to say.

RBGS they started branches at Medavkkam and Mogappair also they are expanding the branches with the good education and infrastructure.
i hope so RBGS will play a vital role in chennai.

Recently met the principal of Mugappair branch, she is very informative and outspoken, school campus looks nice. Though the fees is high (80k per student) if they maintain the standards I'd continue. First things to look for in a school is teachers quality.


Compared to other schools i visited (where only the watchmen answers or the office clerk!) this school is far better. I'd definitely recommend.

Saturday 23-Aug-2014. The schools sealing fell down into one Parent during PTM meeting and blood was lost(admitted to hospital) when we see the first aid box nothing was there... Very very bad . There is no guarantee for child soul.

I have a mixed thoughts... my daughter studying there and her teachers were very kind and qualified.

On the other hand, the fees is way too expensive.. No playground... on top of all, the fallen sealing issue this week... School remain closed for 1-week for maintaining the fallen sealing.

Looks like the school threatened some parents to submit fake 'very good' certificate. In reality this school is far from the glowing picture being said in the comments above... Do your homework... it is the future of your child in stake..

Teaching - Very good.

Teachers - polite, educative. Few of them seems to be rude, as complained by the parents.

Principal - no administrative capabilities, as evident by the recent sports day event administered and conducted by her. The KG boys got 32 size shorts, XXL socks as sports event uniform. she used to scold the teachers infront of parents

Cleanliness - OK, still need improvement.

Extracurricular activities - Not up to the mark. May be they could develop, on the go.

The name of the school is gaining steam. The standards and name of the school might develop further in the near future, if they change/replace the principal with someone else like the former princi (Vasantha).

P.S: Management pls consider this review and do the needful to achieve a win-win situation.

my daughter studied there, As everyone said my kid teacher was very rude, discouraged her infront of all students..My daughter felt bad fortunately i went to school that day, she cried a lot ..i too even cried ..when i asked the teacher she given imprompt answer ..not only that they make students to mug up all the subjects...

And i heard very few staffs are well experienced others are housewife, so they will teach lower classes.

P.T master is very rude(both appearance and behaviour ) during PTM mam used to say that my kid will scare if she name about P.T master...last week my sister -in-law went to school she saw the PT master /karate master teaching kids inside the basketball court...he beated boys with the white cloth karate belt..and pulling girl's shirts to make to stand in the line..by that time he must have pinched a girl it seems, she rubbed her shoulders then...my in law complaint the reception they said they will send a lady teacher there...

U know actually there is a rule during male teachers taking classes a lady should be there..but no lady was there...even my daughter was beaten by the PT master for not removing nails...

i request all the parents those who are studying currently, when your child comes from the school please tel them to report you to daily what had happened in the school, see your child face when they get down from the bus...if they sad please ask them...if possible all parents should take steps to replace with a lady karate master.

All schools are starting minting money from Parents and RBGS is not odd in that. They also increasing 10 - 15 % fees year on year but the quality of teachers, infrastructure and principle are very very worst.

I felt bad that my daughter is studying in this school. Why we are making our daughters life so miserable by admitting these kind of schools where they don't have any ethics.

I know many parents dont have choice and admitting in this useless school (RBGS, Nandambakkam). Surprising to see the education system in India and in Chennai.

How do we correct this non sense and teach a leason to all CBSE schools where they starting doing business than providing a better education.

this school is worst, i cant blame the school, it is our govt to blame. we have proved that they are collecting high fees with all the receipts, they dont have enough faculties, infra structure, safety faciflities everything still, the singaravelu committee cannot take a single action. they keep on calling them for hearing and the school mgmt postpones it. why cant the committee take a severe action against the school. if they are incapable of it, why run such a committee. the school is collecting a fees of 65000 for I grade and they are giving receipt for just 18000, where can we complaint about this.

If suppose any of the committee members sees this, pls do understand if you cant control cbse schools in tamilnadu, please then stick yourself to matriculation schools... please dont give false hope to our parents, we have waited the whole year hoping some action would be taken against the school, but at the end of the year invain, now we are searching for another school.

Here is my worst experience I'm facing with RBGS (keelkattalai),

We are back to India 8 months back after long time and got admission for my son with RBS (keelkattalai).

My son was treated badly in the class room by throwing his book on floor. When i approached principal next day for the explanation, Principal explained us that his class teacher was having some personal problem due to that she reacted in class and they have taken action. After this incident my sons was cornered in the class and he is being demotivated and punished very frequently.

My Son had good communication before joining with RBGS.. Due to Class teacher mother tong influence he picked up poor communication.

I don't recommend this school any one.

The issues mentioned in this complaint is common for many CBSE schools in chennai. People who have come from different parts of India and living in chennai want their children to study in CBSE so that if they relocate back to their state the kids will not get affected, so there is a demand for CBSE schools. However even the locals who have no plans of relocating are thinking CBSE is a standard higher than the state (matric) board and it has become a status symbol. So it has become a good business for businessmen to start a CBSE school and take any fee / donation / capitation they want, and the parent will have to shell out great deal of money to have their kid study in CBSE school. My humble opinion is its just WASTE of money. After the state government imposed a restriction in the maximum fee for state board and matric schools, many matric schools got affiliation from CBSE just for making more money. These schools have NOTHING superior, parents should send their kids to a nearby school which has good environment (airy classrooms, good play ground, polite faculty and most importantly open minded management). My son is going to a nearby matric school (now there is no matric board its all state board), the 'Samacheer' curriculum is really good, its designed with a open mind and have great opportunity to have the kid learn on his/her own pace. The kid can explore further and the book is just a starting point. Coming to the fees part I am paying around 18k for a 3rd standard kid, this includes everything (admin fee, term fee (for all 3 terms), stationary, books, smart class fee, extra curricular activity (one of drawing / music / martial arts)). Just imagine how much you are paying EXTRA, all your money goes to the owners BMW fund, why or earth you have to work hard to make some one go in a BMW.

RBGS Kilkattalai is one of the worst schools I have ever seen. Most of the above complaints are true. My son studies here and I regret for that. Parents who are researching on potential school for your kids, please do good research on the overall aspects. Just by having a Brand name and numerous school chain in Andhra Pradesh doesn't make a school best in class.
Infrastructure - The current Infrastructure was not built for a school. It had become a makeshift school. Being a local resident for close to 30 years, I know what was running in this building before it became a so called school. School without a play ground is secondary. The most critical concern is the safety of the kids and parents who drop the kids at school. Since they do not have the infra for School, they are unable to request Chennai Corporation for even a school sign board on road for cautioning the traffic. Also, there are no speed breakers for the school zone which should be a mandate in such a high traffic road. There are numerous accidents happening every week which are concealed by the school management. It is a battle to take a U turn or cross the road with your precious kid every morning between 8.30 to 9 am. The vehicles come in full speed after being released from the 200 Ft road junction signal. They have already waited at least 5 min in the signal in the busy office schedule. So you know there is least botheration for the speeding vehicles to slow down here. To witness this truth, please visit this busy place during any week day between 8.30 am to 9 am.
You do not have a parking slot for your car or bike for this school. You become a nuisance for the public by parking your vehicle on this busy road. There is not even a shelter for the parents/grand parents to wait until the kids are sent out.

Hi All... this article is true and this school is Worst... Don't get carried away by few positive comments because most of them are from School's management teams.

This issue is proved in the court and they are ordered by the Fee committee to refund the excess fees collected for last 3 years. There are also other cases in process against this school.

If you think about putting your kinds in this school... I'll say think twice.

Recently visited the school.. It's not that bad at all.. Principal is very friendly and they have lot of activities and programmes for kids. And regarding fee structure, I say it's better compared to other schools like San academy in which the fees comes nearly 2lakhs and they didn't mention anything about extracurricular activities.

Then why the hell you guys are still sending your children to this school. Better take a TC and go to other schools. Please remember that its not in Schools/Teachers hands to make your children shine. Its only with parents. Be it any school, parents has to take initiative to bring their children. Please dont depend on any schools. Join your children in any school but you should teach your children

I am a parent of tenth grade student, really feel very sorry to inform negative aspects of this school even though i am happy with Principal and teaching staff, other things are not upto the mark. General complaints are high fees, no play ground, high build-up, etc.
Main reason for this mail is that they have given a new time schedule for tenth grade as follows:
1. School starts at 8am.
2. School closes at 5:30 pm.
3. The above schedule from Monday to Saturday.
4. Most horrible is they work even on Sundays from 9am to 12:30 pm.

In the above case, my son has to leave home by 7 am and will return at 6:30 pm. Atleast they should not work on Sundays. Academic alone is not important, there are more activities to do. If they work non stop like they will have STRESS quickly.

If they do not have the skill to teach/ coach within stipulated school timing then it means they do not have efficient teachers or school management do not believe their ability.

Finally, just to highlight their performance and open more new schools, our kids are made scapegoat for this. Absolutely there is no need for such horrifying time schedule.

I hope they get back to the normal school timing.

I have joined both of my kids in RBGS keelkattalai. Last year we paid full fees for both kids. But they received very less fees for the same year, same facilities for another kid who is residing near to my home. When i enquired the school authority about why such differences between two kids, they said that they paid only part of the payment. But they did not actually paid the entire amount for the last full one year. Pls parents think twice..

why such partiality between two kids for the same year with the same facilities? I wont give up.. I have the evidence of collecting high fees from us and low fees for other kids.. I have got the receipts for the payments we made. But i wont give up..

Never ever dream of sending your lovely kids to this school. They make your kid feel inferior.

Chennai Schools — Fees Collected in Cash

I got my sons annual fee list. To my surprise I found Rs 15000 fee as two time payments in one single Qtr. But the entire amount is collected as cash and there is no proper reason given for extra charges collected. I request the govt authorities to regularise the payments only thro banks which will make the schools to follow some reasonable reason for collecting fees.

I do agree with her. Worst of all schools. Please someone do something about the high fees. I dont know why they are collecting huge fees inspite of their poor maintenance.

Where is the CBSE gone? Are they aware of such high fees. Looting all the money from the parents and not even spending a part of it to the school improvement.

Principal should be ready to meet the parents at any case. Here you can never meet her, as though she is god from heaven, she sits in a ac room and she is unreachable by the parents.

Totally useless school.
Lot of promises made at the time of admission but nothing has been implemented so far.Only the name states as Global school, but the prevailing standard in the school is worse than a corporation school.

1.No playground, no idea how the school will be expanded in future, but another branch has been opened with the same set of promises.Infrastructure in the existing school itself is damn poor.
2.Pre-primary Kids are not being escorted by maids till their respective class room in the morning.Kids carry heavy bags & climb the steps all alone till 2nd & 3rd floors.The co-ordinators & the principal not aware of this until a parent raised the issue.Wot for they are sitting in a glass cabin witout even bothering wots happening inside their campus...
3.Wash rooms are not cleaned properly, teachers complain that they buy & provide the handwash & cleaning items to the maids.Wot is the mgmnt dng without concentrating the hygiene of the kids, teachers & maids handling the kids????wot for they get so much fees then????
4.For sports day a huge amt of Rs.1000 was forcefully abducted from parents, to organize a flopshow!!!.The uniforms weren't been provided & the march fast conducted was shamefull, students exhibited lack of practice in their performance wit some kids wearing color dress & sme with school uniform.Its a shame on the part of Principal that she dint even have the courtesy to apologize for the delay in sports Uniform.For those who were provided the size is of too big & not worth the money.
5.No professionally trained teachers.PT & YOGA teachers appointed as class teachers.Even parent of the pre primary though they don't have any teaching experience are being appointed as class teachers.Lot of complaints about the pre-kg class teacher.she is a nightmare for kids.Parents say that their kids are having sleepless night & kids crying in sleep that the teachet is scolding & beating.The teacher is black mailing the parents that their kid would be depromoted if she doesn't write A TO Z properly.Is this how a pre-kg kid would be treated?is tis for this purpose we spend so much & send our kids?????

Every month an activity is conducted in the name of competition but nothing is disclosed to the parents.how their wards have performed?, whether their wards have won the competition?, wheteher they will be recognised????nothing.
6.No play time, play area or play ground.But the while taking admission they give false promise that swimming pool will be built, indoor & outdoor games will be there, basket ball, cricket practice, etc.nothing is done so far.
7.The quality o[censored]niform, shoe & socks are very bad.But the fees is exhorbitantly high.
8.No proper communication followed.During rainy season, info rgdng school is not reaching the parents on time.They send mails.who will check mail early in the morning?wot for they get mobile numbers?why not implement group sms facility?
Chennai city school send sms rgdng the homework on day to day basis with subjectwise info.everyday portions are uploaded in their website, so that if a student is not attending the school, he/she can chk for the day's lessons in their website.Thatz how the technology is being utilized to enable faster communication but in this school, its very hard to find a teacher who speaks good fluent error free English.Then how will the kids improve their standards??????
9.The so called honorable principal is never available for open forum or parents group meeting.Already 2 letters have been submitted requesting a group meet, no actions has been taken so far.Teachers say the letters would've gone to the dustbin the moment the parents leave the campus.I feel its true.
10.So very upset & doubtfull regarding the future of our kids.we pay so much & we the parents have the rights to question their credibility.its their bounded duty to show improvement.unless there is a group meet before the nxt academic year, lets not pay the fees.

No ther best school in teaching point of view. No extracurricular activities and there is no space for any outdoor activity...even the outdoor space is not sufficient to evacuate all class students in case of any fire or emergency. No emergency exit for escape in case of fire. No ground arranged...School building is under lease..so they may be shifted to other places if any dont get playground in future.
Total area of school is capable to accomodate nursery classes only. CBSE approval may not be possible unless if they **** something *****
It is not worth to pay Rs.60, 000 per year as school fee + non refundable donation of Rs.30, 000 + Rs.20, 000 for transport fee for this school which doesn't have any infrastructure faciltiies at all.
Overall rating is worst than any good coorporation school except having some good teachers.

1. They have opened up and dressed up the nearby Vacant land, alongwith a basketball court, All vanished, and a great wall erected !!!
2. They gave admissions to a huge number of kids, and knowing that 75% of the kids cannot sustain the huge demand of fees and Service Charges
3. We have purchased the same school uniform shoes from the ADDIDAS Showroom elsewhere for just 999 Rs while the school charges for ( Grade II Shoes ) at 1800
4. The uniform is made elsewhere and supplied at an exorbitant price of 1800 rs, I had issued the school management a legal notice and the sale o[censored]niforms are stopped at school
5.EAch class is manned at a rate of 60 students at LKG instead of the promised 15- 20 ratio


Believe me, the curse of too many unhappy parents who lost the money in the process, and the mental stress what the kids undergto when they move out of schoo foregoing the enormous fees, will loom large on the school management, and the principal, who is another cheat ...

1. The fees they charge for adidas shoe starts from 1800 to ...
2. The school uniform is mostly not up to the size, they ask us to alter, and they charge more than 1900 for one set
3. They collected a whole set of stationeries including 2 packets of pencils, charts, glaze papers and many more...
4. the lkg contains 10 section more than 300 students in total...
5. Above all, for such a high fees collected from the parents, they dont have any playground. They just showed off the near playground to cbse committee by breaking the wall inbetween them, now again they left the process of buying playground, and built the wall again.

They are not only cheating parents, but also cbse committee...

They are looting money from the parents in the name of education. They are collecting exorbitant fee, but not worth for money. Very worst infrastructure, there is no play ground for students and there is no adequate space for parking hence it is horrible to drop and pick up the children from the campus. The school atmosphere is worst and lack of serenity, it seems to be some godown was altered to school building. If anybody gets fail in 10th or 12th, don’t worry, you will definitely get the teacher job in this school.

We could really feel lot of changes, i can't accept the comments, yes ofcourse they dont have play ground but so many play activites are conducted by the school.i am really satisfied with all the acitivities of school.

RBGS now changed so much in education, environment and indoor games they are giving good. and campus maintanance toilets now you see the toilets its very clean. they are given such a good intention to the school. but like these complients is common at any where. dont believe these false complints go and visit the campus and decide what you want to do.

i too go with the comments of Artisandy.i enquired couple of parents and a few students i could really feel the postive changes in the school.i have admitted my child in class 1.i am really happy about the school because personally i visited the school, they allowed me to see all the places of school.it is absolutely good.i hope so my child will be doing well with others.

They have an better curriculum than most of the schools. and teacher are kind enough to the kids in explaining the things.Your kid will really enjoy going to this school. They fellow Montessori method. If parents wish to get homeworks and written work. this school will not suit them. They learn a lot in school and end of the day, Kids will have the knowledge. I will not say this is the best school in chennai... but dnt judge the school as worst and even below..just bcz they charge you more. All school have +ve and -ve. i am ready for an open debate on this school. They are more concerned about money than the standard and safety of our kids. I am not just ready to write down here, but also ready to an open discussion, I am ready to take any punishment, if you people prove my comments are baseless.

This school is more money minded rather than quality. Lot of promises were made and nothing implemented till now.

It is pure injustice to the word "GLOBAL" to be part of this school name. There is nothing "GLOBAL" about this school. They don't even meet the standards of AVERAGE school.

Education - Majority of the teachers are inexperienced. It is like running the high paying client's project with Freshers.
Safety Issues - VERY VERY BAD.
--Few times, large glass windows with frames came crashing down to the floor. Fortunately people moved in time.
--One fourth of plaster in the roof came down in one of the classes, thankfully on a Saturday, during a parent teacher meeting. The parent was badly hit, had 10+ stitches. Management cared less to look out the root cause. Tried to hush up things by fixing the fallen roof alone. There was huge agitation from the parents to do proper work. School was closed for a week for the repair work. The point is, they seem to be more money
minded and doesn't care for even safety issues.They are not proactive, and the worst, not even reactive when safety issues, prop up. They were literally pulled up by parents do basic safety things.
-- Even after so many complaints, many safety issues are ignored by management (no fire exits, no open space during emergency, no fire drills).
Hygiene -- Already many have written about the cleanliness in toilet.Less said the better. Worst there is water seepage in the toilets which affects the ceiling. Again, management doesn't care a bit.

Regarding fees, it is no value for the money we are paying. Many thought this school will implement all the tall promises made. But the management did not stick to their promises.

Very recently, Singaravelu committee (Tamilnadu Fees Fixation committee), came up with structure for RBGS school. Based on the TN Government order, the school for the services they are providing, can get only 15K - 21K max for KG - VIII standard. The school is given the order, but they are yet to implement it.

Education wise nandanbakkam is good but huge amount is collected and with no reason simply working on govt holidays this makes upsets for students and including teachers
