Redbus — Disappointed with redbus cancellation policy and customer support

I had a very disappointing experience with RedBus. I paid an additional ₹45 for the cancellation policy, which stated that I could cancel the bus ticket until 8 PM. However, when I tried to cancel around 5 PM—well before the travel time—I was not allowed to do so.

Despite what the app showed, the cancellation option was blocked, and when I tried contacting RedBus customer care, there was no proper support or response. I felt cheated by this misleading policy and lack of assistance.

Also, the condition of the bus was not clean, which added to the poor experience.

I strongly advise others to avoid paying extra for the cancellation policy, as it seems to be unreliable and may just be a part of RedBus's business tactics rather than actual customer service.
