Hello,

On February 14, 2025, I purchased a bus ticket through the Redbus.in website for travel from Chennai to Vellore on February 16, 2025, departing at 1:00 PM and arriving at 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, I needed to change my travel plans and reschedule my trip for February 17, 2025.

However, I encountered difficulties when attempting to reschedule my trip online. Despite my efforts to log in and reschedule through the website, the feature was unresponsive. I also reached out to Redbus's customer service chat, red:care/red:buddy, but they were unable to assist me. I tried using the Redbus app, but it was also unsuccessful. Moreover, none of the customer service numbers listed on the Redbus website, including the one provided ([protected]), were reachable.

As a result, I am feeling frustrated and desperate for assistance to reschedule or cancel the ticket. I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide in resolving this issue. Thank you.

    Fake bus and no refund

    I booked bus ticket from redbus on 14/2/2025, I did not get the the bus number, tracking details or anything else. I talked with customer care for hours but they didn't do anything, I found out the bus was fake and the amount I paid I didn't even get that back. how can they put such fake buses on their sites...

    I, Ambala Murali, booked 4 tickets on 29.12.2024 from Vishakhapatnam to Hyderabad via RedBus for Rs.7980 at 6.30 pm for my brother-in-law. However, the bus operator informed me at 6:00 PM that the bus was cancelled, causing significant inconvenience during my journey and i had travelled with extra amount of money in another bus . Despite multiple calls to RedBus, I have not received a resolution or refund, with my case escalated but unresolved. As of 01.02.2024, the amount remains unpaid, and this delay is causing financial distress. I kindly request you to expedite the refund process and resolve this matter at the earliest.

      Dear Customer Service Team Of RedBus/ SVR Travels,

      I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the highly unprofessional and inconvenient experience I had with your bus service[protected]. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of reliability and customer care demonstrated during this journey.

      The bus was scheduled to depart at 7 PM from the SVR Hotel Sai Priya pickup point. However, the bus did not arrive as promised. Left with no choice, we proceeded to the SVR Head Hotel Sai Paradise, where all other co-passengers were also waiting for the same bus. To our shock and dismay, the bus finally departed at 5 AM, a delay of 10 hours.

      The situation worsened when, after traveling just 80 kilometers, the bus broke down. We were stranded yet again, forced to wait for a replacement bus. Eventually, I reached Hyderabad at 9 PM that day, after enduring immense discomfort and delays.

      This ordeal caused significant mental and physical trauma, as well as disruption to my schedule. Such an experience is unacceptable, and I hold RedBus and SVR Travels accountable for the poor service and lack of communication.

      For all the inconvenience and distress caused, I am demanding a full refund of my ticket fare along with appropriate compensation for the trauma, time loss, and inconvenience suffered.

      Please treat this matter with urgency and respond with details regarding the refund and compensation process. Failure to address this complaint will compel me to escalate the matter to higher authorities, including consumer grievance forums.

      I am adding all the related proof (Photos & Videos) along with this mail.

      I look forward to your prompt and fair resolution.

        I tried booking a Bus ticket on 19/12/24 form Bangalore to Cherthala(20/12/24) for 2 members, I filled in all the details and made the payment through debit card for Rs.8, 817.90.
        I registered a complaint on 26-12-24 in this consumer complaints stating that the amount had been deducted from my bank account but I never received any confirmation or any information further on the ticket
        right after posting the complaint in the consumer complaints on 29-12-24 I got a call telling they're from the RedBus team and saw my complaint and was checked my transactions with them and told me that the amount will be refunded soon and they will provide a mail giving the refund code and other details regarding the refund to go to the bank and get the refund
        Neither did i receive any mails from them again and also I tried calling to the same number from which i got the call, but no one's responding its telling the number is busy i tried to contact in various ways but no response
        I also have the call recording of the lady who called me and said they'll send the mail and further details
        I feel cheated and this is not right for a big company to scam people in daylight

          While booking the ticket the cancellation policy was available, but now when I try to cancel the ticket, it is not possible. The bus operator is metroline travels. The travel date is 5th Jan 2025.

            I was booked a ticket from Bangalore to Ahmedabad (Operator – National Travels). I received a message from the operator at 8:15am on[protected] before 30 minutes of boarding “Due to traffic in city your bus will be delayed by 4hours 30 minute”.
            I was waiting outside the office to get the update on bus and trying to reach on a phone no given in WhatsApp message of ticket, but there was no response by travels and operator. After that I am waiting at office 2hour, Office is still not open and no one picking my call that’s why I cancelled ticket at 10:27am. I received the message of make my trip you will get refund after verification within 3 days.
            I have booked other travel bus nearby called Jain travels. After cancellation I have seen the my trip was completed which I never catch the bus of National travels which ticket was already cancelled by me, than how it is showing it the trip was completed. I raise concern to customer care (Sai, Shivani, Mandeep and others) and called on 15th, 17th and 23rd of Dec 2024. They told me that the operator of National travels is inform them that I catch bus and complete my trip on time, but as mentioned I had book another ticket (Jain travels) and catch the other bus then how I complete the trip in national travel (Ticket was cancelled by me before trip). And trip was showing me complete How it is possible the trip ticket was cancel and they access to board me the bus in which I have never travelled?
            I have submitted the all the evidences to [protected]@makemytrip.com, but till date I never received any resolution and refund of amount. Customer care is informing me we are not able to refund amount because you have completed the trip as informed by the bus operator (National travels).

              Failed Bus ticket booking and payment deducted

              for barding date and time and dropping date and time

              Very poor customer service. No way to contact the customer service related to bill or some thing. We cant chat on our queries. nor can we call th e customer executive. my bus Ticket No.: TTDC66493131 date of Travel 00:10 AM on 22 Dec 2024 and Dropping date and time 10:45 AM on 22 Dec 2024 but in app showing 10:45 23 Dec 2024....

                I did not get the seat guarantee refund

                I booked a ticket for a train for 24th oct 2024 from thane jn. To Badnera jn. I tried their new feature of seat guarantee. I got alloted an RAC seat, which meant that I was eligible for a refund of the extra seat guarantee premium that I paid.                 I tried to book train ticket from Dadar to Kolhapur . First time transaction was successful but not received any successful booking message or screen . So I tried another time and that time received successful booking message. But now I am seeing two booking for same journey on same day. I tried to contact customer care of redbus but not able to get proper help from them every time I am getting message as "Sorry. I am unable to fetch the ticket details for you."

                  Refund for non arrival of booked bus

                  We booked thirteen passengers bus tickets from three different accounts for a rsrtc 3+2 non ac seater bus. The journey was scheduled at 7:00 pm, from Ajmer to Jaipur from Ajmer rsrtc bus stand. But the bus didn't not arrive at 7 pm, evening of 19 October 2024.                   Ticket Price: Rs. 2090 (inclusive of GST)
                  Boarding Point: Bangalore Majestic, Opposite Sree Navanidhi Restaurant
                  Dropping Point: Chennai Erikari Bus Stop
                  Dropping Date & Time: 30/09/2024, 06:15 AM
                  Description of the Issue: During this journey, I experienced a near-death situation along with 39 other passengers (38 passengers + 2 conductors and driver). The air conditioning system failed, reportedly due to a gas leak, which was known to the conductor and driver from the start of the journey but was not communicated to passengers.

                  Instead of informing us before departure or at the first boarding point, we were only notified after an hour into the journey, well into the night and away from the city. Passengers were left in a closed, overheated environment for 6 to 7 hours, leading to extreme discomfort and safety concerns.

                  Despite raising this complaint during the journey, I have only received a token compensation of Rs. 200 (Rs. 100 per ticket) from Red Bus. This is unacceptable, especially given the severity of the situation and the danger posed to all passengers.

                  Furthermore, the customer support from Red Bus has been inadequate, with no escalation options available. I have encountered long wait times and unhelpful responses, with a single representative managing multiple calls.

                  Request for Resolution: I am seeking a full reimbursement of the ticket price and additional compensation for the distress and danger caused by this experience. I believe that both the operator and Red Bus hold responsibility for this incident, and it is imperative that passengers are informed of any issues prior to travel.

                  This complaint is being raised to protect consumer rights and to seek appropriate accountability from Red Bus and Padmavathi Travels.

                    Bus ticket was booked for my friend from chennai to madurai and due to change of plans I cancelled the ticket. The refund amount was inisiated but not yet receive into my upi account. The refund amount is Rs. 1181.3/-. The ticket was cancelled a day prior to the trip as well. Kindly look into it and let me know the update.

                    Complaining about Incorrect live track location & Wrong pickup location

                    Hi

                    I have booked 2 bus ticket (Karur - Chennai - VETRI TRAVELS) on redbus on 09/09/2024. The boarding time & location is 9.05 pm, Karur bypass roundana.

                    I have reached the boarding location around 8.45pm. When I checked the live tracking of the bus, Its showing 30-50km away from the boarding point. & also the bus route is not meeting my boarding point.

                    We had booked ticket from Coimbatore to Chennai for 8th September by Krish Travels. Allotted seats by Redbus app were 3 and 4. But in the evening the bus sent us message as seat numbers 15 and 16.

                    Similar change in seats had been done for several passengers, who all started quarreling and then complaining to Police. Police came to resolve and in the process found that both driver and cleaner were drunk.

                    Then alternate dirver was arranged and instead of 10.10 pm, the vehicle left Coimbatore at around 1.15 am - around three and a half hours late. Almost all passengers would have lost one day leave on Monday.
                    Such unauthorised change ins eat numbers seems to be usual with Krish Travels. This may damage the reputation of Redbus. I strongly recommend removal of Krish travels from Redbus app.

                      I had booked my train ticket on 11th august from Mumbai to Guwahati but for 19th nov but due to some reason i had to cancel it, but i didn't get the refund. I tried to call them, but they didn't receive the call

                        I've booked a ticket from Rajahmundry to Hyderabad on 12.08.2024, 8.30pm in KVR tours and travels on 7.08.2024 evening. At around 9pm I tried to cancel my ticket as I couldn't take the trip due to inevitable circumstances. But the bus operator is not ready to refund my amount as he's saying that once the ticket is booked, it cannot be cancelled. This point is not mentioned in any of the booking and payment pathway. Please look into the issue.
