Redbus — Refund Denied for Operator-Cancelled Bus RedBus System Error & Support Failure

I booked a bus ticket through my friend’s RedBus account but entered my mobile number as the passenger contact. The bus was cancelled by the operator, but strangely the booking later showed up in my own RedBus account, not my friend's.

By the time I found the booking in my account, the 7-day refund window had passed, and the app no longer allowed me to request a refund.

I tried all possible customer support options:

RedBus app – Refund option blocked

Customer care – Calls kept looping in IVR, no human agent

Email – Auto-reply says email support is discontinued

Instagram – Got a few replies but no resolution

Twitter – RedBus asked for details via DM, but no resolution even after 2 days

I am being denied a refund for a cancellation that was not my fault.
This is very stressful and unfair.
