Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unacceptable service I experienced on MM Travels bus from Delhi to Jammu on 29th May 2024. The bus, scheduled to depart from Ambala Flyover at 4:30 PM and arrive at Narwal Bus Stand, Jammu, at 11:00 PM, failed to meet basic service standards.
Details of the Issues Faced:
1. Misbehavior by Staff: The bus staff displayed rude and unprofessional behavior towards me and other passengers, with particularly disrespectful conduct towards a lady passenger, which is wholly unacceptable.
2. Non-functional Air Conditioning: The air conditioning system was not operational throughout the journey, making the ride unbearably uncomfortable, especially considering the long distance.
3. Unpleasant Odor: The bus had a persistent foul smell, indicating poor maintenance and lack of cleanliness.
4. Defective Switches: Several switches, including those for lights and fans, were not working, causing significant inconvenience to passengers.
5. Overloaded Bus: The bus was overloaded beyond its capacity, compromising the safety and comfort of all passengers on board.
6. Unscheduled Stop and Forced Bus Change: At an unfamiliar location, passengers were abruptly forced to change to another bus without prior notice or explanation, which was highly distressing.
7. Drop at Unknown Location: Instead of being dropped off at the scheduled Narwal Bus Stand, Jammu, at 11:00 PM, we were left at an unknown place and were forced to change the bus, adding further to our distress and inconvenience.
8. The behavior of conductors was worst. They were shouting on each passenger and were ready to beat if we were trying to raise the concern.
9. We were going to unknown place and our phone was out of charging and the bus had damaged socket which were not working.
10. The AC of the bus was not working properly.
11. We were dropped at Ludhiana at 10 PM and were forced to change the bus. We were with kids and ladies and were dropped on unknown place. It was completely unsafe with ladies and children.
12. We were dropped at unknown place. And were asked to go to the railway station in auto.
13. In another bus we were forced to be seated three persons on 1 seat and were asked i[censored] can’t adjust then we will leave u here itself.
14. We were dropped at Jammu at 5.15 AM on 29.06.24. We were not able to attend the conference on time.
The series of issues mentioned above reflect extremely poorly on the quality of service provided by MM Travels. Such experiences not only cause inconvenience but also pose serious safety risks to passengers.
Resolution Sought:
I request a thorough investigation into these incidents and appropriate action against the responsible staff members. Additionally, I seek a full refund of my ticket fare due to the unacceptable conditions and treatment endured during the journey. I also urge your company to implement measures to prevent such incidents in the future, ensuring a safe and pleasant experience for all passengers.
It was the responsibility of redbus to keep the journey safe and on time. In case of any causality with female passengers, redbud stands responsible. Kindly take appropriate action. Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint and inform me of the steps you intend to take to address these issues. I look forward to a prompt resolution and a written response within the next 14 days.
