I have bought a samsung note 8 from reliance digital central mall store in guwahati on 14th feb 2018. Along with it an insurance coverage was being sold which will take care of damage in the lcd etc.. I paid rs5700 extra for the same.
I have developed a slight crack on my screen and have decided to give my phone for repair as it was covered under insurance.in fact before giving for repair i have submitted the estimate and also have enquired about the entire process of claim.
I have spent 17k for the repair and post submitting the necessary documents as was informed earlier, the wias team (3rd party who provided the insurance) has insisted for additional documents. I had to deal with wias directly. After 2 months of mail flows, i get a petty 6k transferred to my account for the 17k claim amount.
The insurance sold by ril is cheating..
The wias team initially didn't say anything like less than 50% of the estimated amount will be given if claimed. If told maybe i could have done it at a local shop with a much lesser loss
It seems the entire system is to doomed and cheat customers.
