[Resolved]  Reliance Digital — Yamaha home theatre yht-299

Worst shopping experience at Reliance digital Shipra mall. I purchased a home theatre Yamaha YHT-299 from Reliance digital Shipra Mall (Ghaziabad) on 25th Aug. Since it was the last unit open box available, upon auditioning it was found faulty for centre speaker. Because I only wanted to go for YHT-299 model, I was then advised that 1 unit is available in Mahagun Mall which is a display unit but fully functional and no issue in aesthetics also. I agreed and made the payment in Reliance digital in Shipra mall without even seeing or testing the unit trusting brand reputation. Got the delivery of the unit yesterday and I was very disappointed seeing that receiver of the home theatre is faulty, showing "Internal Error". The 2nd issue was the deep scratch on sub-woofer panel. I immediately reported the both issues to Reliance digital store to reply of which they explained that the installation person will see the error and sub-woofer and rectification will be done tomorrow. Today the person visited but was unable to resolve the functional issue in the receiver. For the other issue of sub-woofer he advised to talk to store for replacement.

Complaint id yesterday was [protected] (for Faulty receiver/installation/sub-woofer) and now a new id [protected] has been assigned today. My question is do we expect faulty products from a brand like Reliance? Is anybody responsible for quality assurance before product is packed? And when the customer already informed yesterday that receiver is faulty, why don't a skilled person was sent for problem resolution?
If the product will be repaired now by Yamaha, I am not interested to keep this product and need a refund against the same and will definitely refrain to buy products from Reliance in future.Pl call me asap because now your service department called & told me that since it was display unit, it will be repaired which I don't want. I was not told at the time of purchase that was faulty unit. 1st he asked me to visit Shipra mall to get the replacement and later told that repair will happen.The guys are so unprofessional that when I call your Shipra mall store, the ask the query and then put on hold for 10 minutes and then give number of some another guy and so on. I can't take this much of headache and tired of the pathetic services, either refund my money within 2 working days or provide me the replacement.

I shall be pursuing this matter with your parent company too if needed and will post the feedback on social media also in case it is not resolved timely. This was never expected from a brand like Reliance ! Highly dissatisfied.
