Reliance Fresh — Double charged on my bill | |
I had been to your reliance fresh, natesan nagar store in chennai recently and i opted to pay the bill through my debit card for the things i had purchased, the staff who was assisting me at one of the bill counters swiped the card, after keying in the pin number, i noticed that the pos displayed receiving message, though, the personnel denied me that the amount been not debited, as the receipt was not generated from their terminal (I don't understand why the pos charge slip eject area was shut with bunch of papers), she attempted it thrice and got the same reply, hence i had no choice and payed it as cash. Later when i reached home i noticed from the bank's sms that the amount been debited from my account as well. I reported this to the store manager next day, he replied that he will do something and asked me to share the complete debit card number, photo copy of the bill to his whatsapp number. Sharing the debit card details to a third party is against bank's norms, so i decided to raise my complaint to the customer care, for which i received a case-id. The problem still continues, they had assigned the complaint to the same store manager and he called me and asked for the card number, as i refused to share it, he has made the complaint as closed, which i was not aware until when i received the message to my mobile. I was surprised, how come a retail store chain, who have 600+ stores across india treat a customer irresponsibly, i have raised a fresh complaint, hoping that i will get my cash back.
