Reliance Jio Infocomm — Jio fiber Scam (Deducts money from refundable security deposit)

Dear Sir,

The matter is that My jiofiber connection (Jio Fiber number[protected]. ServiceID[protected] was activated on March13, 2021. I decided to discontinue the connection on April 5, 2021 and planned for relocation due to official purpose. On April 11, 2021 my connection was suspended as per request and I was applicable for 100% security deposit i.e. 1500 INR. The jio team did not performed uninstallation and kept on rescheduling the device pickup again and again. I visited jio store which is located in Sector62, Noida and they denied for the support on jio fiber, To which I called jiofiber customer support and they also didn’t provided me any satisfactory solution on the problem. Now after multiple customer calls and requests Device was picked up on July 5, 2021 and a partial amount of my security deposit i.e 500 INR is refunded in my account on July 12, 2021. I called jiofiber support and they have explained that amount is deducted because device pickup was late.

I made multiple calls to Jiofiber team for device pickup but jio team delayed it. This is the problem with jio management not with the consumer. I request you to provide me my full refund of INR 1500 in my bank account.

Jiofiber team agent informed me about the plan but not about the hidden Terms & Conditions. In the conversation, agent clearly mentioned about the device pickup and 100% refund of security deposit.

I requested to suspend the connection because I wanted to relocate due to official matters. I have clearly discussed about 100% refund in the conversation. Customer support executive didn’t informed about 60 days device pickup policy.

My jio connection got suspended within the trial period and I was applicable for 100% refund.

NOW THE DEVICE WAS NOT PICKED UP BY JIO TEAM

I visited jio store located at Ground Floor Block, C, My Jio Store Pg 31, 58/15 A Plot 13, 14, 15, Sector 62, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201306. I told them engineer is not visiting my location for device pickup, Store manager told me that they are not dealing in jiofiber. Though they were having jio fiber advertisement plans on their store counter. I called Jio customer support and addressed the issue. I was not provided with the satisfactory resolution. The agent who booked my connection, I called him multiple times on his number i.e [protected], he didn’t answered the calls.

I managed halfday from office on that day just to get this uninstallation but nothing was fruitful.

NOW JIO TEAM STARTED DELAYING THE DEVICE PICKUP BY RESCHEDULING THE APPOINTMENTS

Received SMS from jio team about rescheduling of device pickup date to April 25, 2021 10:15. I waited for the engineer but again no one visited. Device pickup again rescheduled by jio team.

Received SMS from jio team about rescheduling of device pickup date to April 25, 2021 16:15. I waited for the engineer but again no one visited. Device pickup again rescheduled by jio team.

I made several calls to jio team about the matter and finally in July 2021 my device pickup was scheduled on my requests.

Received SMS from jio team about rescheduling of device pickup date to July 4, 2021 20:30. I waited for the engineer but again no one visited. Device pickup again rescheduled by jio team.

Device was picked up and bank details were registered. I clearly asked the engineer about refund, he also assured me of 100% refund.

Jio team credited 500 INR (TransactionID: NEFT-CMS[protected]-RELIANCE RETAIL LTD-R) in my account instead which was 33.33% of my security deposit. I was amazed that I had gone through complete process and everyone assured me of 100% refund and still I received partial amount. You can find attachment for further details.

I called jio fiber customer support and he denied to register the complaint about the matter. He instructed me to write the email to the jio fiber team.

After going through the above case study, this can be clearly observed that device pickup delay has been intentionally done by jio fiber team. I had tried multiple times to get the device pickup done by the jio team but no one supported on that matter. No one explained about the 60 day device pickup policy. I am not going to bear any kind of loss due to the jio team mismanagement. This is a matter of consumer harassment. I am requesting you to provide me 100% refund in my account to resolve this dispute.
