Reliance Petroleum — Unprofessional behavior and payment issues at shri sidhi vinayak jio petrol pump

I am writing to report a troubling experience I recently had at the Shri Sidhi Vinayak Jio Petrol Pump near Bahowal, Mahilpur, Hoshiarpur District. This incident occurred a few days ago when I visited the pump to refuel my vehicle.

Upon arrival, I requested the pump attendant to fill the tank and informed him that I would be making the payment online. He provided me with a QR code to scan, and I completed the payment. I even showed the attendant the "Payment Successful" message on my phone and confirmed that the payment had been deducted from my account.

Shortly afterward, two staff members approached me, claiming that my payment had not reached their system. Despite my attempts to clarify and even show them the successful transaction, they insisted that I had to pay again. They mentioned that similar issues had happened with other customers as well and demanded that I make another payment. I requested them to verify the matter with their bank, as the payment had successfully been processed from my end, but they refused to consider my request.

An individual, who introduced himself as the owner, approached me and rudely insisted that I pay again or they would drain the fuel from my vehicle. Even though I showed the successful payment proof and offered to provide my contact information, my Adhar card and vehicle details and photo for follow-up, he continued to insist on immediate payment. The situation quickly escalated, causing a public scene and significant embarrassment.

Reluctantly, I made a second payment using another QR code they provided, which was again successfully processed and verbally confirmed through their payment system. However, I must express that the entire experience left me feeling extremely frustrated and disrespected. The staff's unprofessional attitude and disregard for customer convenience were completely unacceptable.

Given this experience, I strongly urge Jio to address this issue with the concerned petrol pump management. If online payment systems are causing frequent issues, then I would recommend temporarily disabling online payment options until a more reliable solution is in place to avoid further inconvenience to customers.
