I am writing this letter with deep distress, shock and disbelief.
I Junaid, always preferred Royal Enfield over any other company. I purchased my BS3 Himalayan ( KL 58 S 9560) 5 years 3 months back. The chassis which is supposed to last atleast around 10 years got damaged as it got rusted. I believe that the failure of chassis was not due to neglect or error on my part. I had always made sure services done as required. We do the services as part of maintenance. Even after all these maintenance, is this the lifespan of chassis? It’s totally because of the low quality of the base frame contoured by the company. It is actually hard to digest seeing such a failure from the company. Himalayan is an off road bike, which expected to be used over muddy road. In 5 years time if this is how the bike's chassis is going to be, how am I suppose to confidently ride RE bikes. The magneto coil and conset issues have been always there and i changed it many times. now how would i suppose to tolerate this chassis issue?
I recently booked brand new meteor 350 ( booking number: BKG011434DE00104 ) for my brother, since the bike is yet to deliver, now I am having second thoughts on choosing RE.
Hoping I can hear a better solution from your end. It would be great if I can get this covered under goodwill warranty.
