Rto India — big fraud at dahisar rto

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra, 400101

The fraudulent dahisar rto needs to be exposed.

I had the worst experience of my life when i went there to obtain my permanent driving license. The new aspiring drivers must read this or they will be fooled.

I was pretty excited for my driving exam today as i was going to get my permanent driving license. I was confident because i had practised enough on my car with my dad after my training got over. I had driven far distances from north to south bombay on my learning license. When our test started, the inspector was highly strict, impolite and he was hardly passing anybody. People started getting nervous in front of him and began doing mistakes. I wondered why that terror when it was just a normal driving test. Some people had brought their own cars for the test and some were going to drive on the motor trainer’s car. I too chose to drive on the motor trainer’s car. When my turn came, i realised that it was getting tough to drive. Even when the car was the one i had practised on. I had my clutch fully pressed and pushed the accelerator also, by slowly releasing the clutch but my car could hardly move. I kept pressing the accelerator but it didn’t work and after struggling for few seconds, my car completely stopped. I started it again and did the same thing but it happened again.in spite of being confident and having a good amount of experience in driving as a learner i couldn’t move forward. I was confused as to what was happening because the car was really acting funny. I wondered where i was going wrong.in spite of all the practice and taking training for 20 days at motor training school!!! Why was it so difficult to drive for a few meters? So i thought there must be some problem with the car. I tried to start my car again and just took a glance at the inspector’s feet. To my utter shock, the inspector had his foot on the break. Since, my trainer had already warned me to not get into any argument with the inspector, i kept mum and did not react. He failed me. And few minutes later the trainer came and said that we can try and convince the inspector to pass me but for that the inspector would charge rs. 3000/- per person for both two and four wheeler. All other trainers of different motor training schools were also doing the same. Then i realised that each and every student who appeared, failed except for those who had got their own bikes and cars. Reason being the inspector has no control over their driving and so he also doesn’t sit in their cars. They made riding the scooty also a difficult task. One foot down and you fail. The road on which they take both the tests is unpaved, rough, muddy and full of gravel. How on earth is it possible for a learner to ride without keeping their foot down on such dirt road. Adding more to it, they give you bikes on rent if you have not brought your own for 50 to 100 bucks. Looking at the condition of the bikes it becomes obvious that you wouldn’t pass anyway. It’s in such a horrible condition. So i would conclude that their main motive is to get as many people as possible for the bribe where both the inspector and the trainer together earns. There were also cases where people without giving the driving test passed, by just paying the amount. The only thing they had to do is show their face to the inspector. Is it a fair deal? I understand if they are strict and don’t pass people easily because of safety issues but where does all the strictness go when they have to take the bribe?
I will appeal to the higher authorities in rto and even the chief minister to take strict action against these looters as their tarnishing the image of the whole rto system. I would suggest each one of you to please take your own car and bike while giving the test. These people are just hungry for more and more money. They show like they care for you and genuinely want you to pass but they are in collusion and it’s a trap. Please share it with as many people as possible to make people aware of this corrupt system.
