My license was issued in Gujarat, Ahmedabad (GJ01 RTO) in 2001. I'm residing in Bangalore and need to renew the license. I visited sarathi.parivahan.gov.in and applied for renewal. I entered all the data regarding my existing license (GJ01). It's been more than a month, still the backlog entry is pending approval.
