RTO India — rc not received even after one and a half month

Hi,

Applied for rc (Transfer of ownership) on 14th of november, 2017. On 4th december, i received a sms that my rc has been dispatched by speed post and a tracking id: ed[protected]in was given. But till date i am not able to track the consignment. On entering the consignment number, india post website says “consignment not available”. So i contacted the transport office at raja garden, delhi where i applied for rc, and according to them they have already dispatched it.

So, i contacted india post through a tweet, and they responded saying “a consignment with this tracking id has never been booked”.

So basically the rto is holding onto the rc instead of dispatching it and on enquiring they are saying they have already dispatched. I have been trying to call the rto, raja garden office and called numerous times but they never respond to calls.

Finally i tweeted to @transportdelhi also regarding the same, but sadly, nobody responds.

The process of sending the rc through speed post was introduced to make the delivery of rc fast and smooth, but it seems no one is in the mood of providing service.

Can anyone please help.
