Rto Pune — Not received original rc book from rto even after 2 years of purchase | |||||
I had purchased my motor vehicle in April 2014 for which I have not received the RC Book from the RTO, Pune. I went to collect the same on 15/03/2016 to RTO Office. They sent me to GPO Pune to collect the RC Book but instead the GPO officer told us that we should fill up a complaint form to speed post as the RC book was failed to be delivered by them and count be found at their office. I then went to submit the complaint form at speed post office near Parcel office - Pune Station. Where again I was given a letter written that my complaint was "Time Barred" as they preserve record only for 6 months. This letter I should again in RTO where they are now asking me to fill form no.26 which is for Duplicate RC Book. My question is when I purchased the vehicle each and every information is submitted to the dealer at the time of purchase so how can i not receive the RC Book for such a long period. Second if the courier sent by speed post was returned then why I was not informed at that time though they have all records (mobile number is always submitted to the dealer at the time of purchase). And last if I have not received the original RC Book due to mistake of RTO and GPO why should I apply for duplicate book and pay for it also go to the police station to complaint about the loss of RC Book. Why should I pay for the negligence and inappropriate duties performed by the RTO Pune, GPO Pune and even the Dealer who sold us the vehicle. Same issue with me too. I havent got RC book of my two wheeler even after an year. And after following the chain to go to RMS division, got the letter ""Time Barred"" stating that they preserve record only for 6 months.

I am also struck with the similar issue RTA has not sent any Courier tracking message of the RC.Now i am not sure what is the status of my RC. When we pay lot of money for RC and for charges still they dont do work properly.
It is very painful to deal with RTA there is no proper documentation no response

Hi I am also facing same issue. My car's RC book is missing from RTO, GPO and local post office. Local post office says, "we have last 6 months records only". As per my knowledge when local post office tries to deliver any parcel at home and we are not present, they put one note saying, "your parcel is with us, please visit post office and collect it".
But it did not happened.

I wrote email to Mr. Nitin Gadkari and corresponding authority regarding my applications.
I applied for RC address change and hypothecation on 27 march 2021 and then its verified & got approved on 16 april 2021, but later there is no further communication from RTO and its been almost more than 2 months ; I am waiting for RC
There is no any customer care number available which can provide the reason for the delay of processing.
Please requesting RTO and its concern authority to provide customer care number where customer can get to know where is the issue and why their application is in process for longer than expected time.

I agree with your thoughts. I am too facing a similar issue and running here and there ( RTO, Post Office), but nobody knws where my smartcard is. I've submitted a complaint to Post Office that RC is not received. Now waiting for their response on it.
Could you tell my how and in what time you were able to resolve your issue and received your rc?
