Samsung — Operational Phone Became Dead After Samsung Service Safdarjung Enclave Handling Serious Data Loss Concern

I submitted my Samsung Galaxy A50s at Samsung Authorized Service Center, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi, on 8 May 2026 with only display damage. The phone was operational internally — calls, alarms, notifications and charging were all working.

After inspection, the service center confirmed it was only a display issue and accepted the device for repair after taking advance payment.

Before submission, I clearly informed the representative that the data in the phone was extremely important and instructed the team not to proceed if there was any risk to the motherboard or data. I was assured that I would receive a prior call before any such action.

However, no approval or warning was taken from me. Later, I was informed that the phone had become completely dead and the motherboard was no longer working.

The issue is not simply motherboard replacement. The concern is that the phone was operational before service handling, but became completely dead afterward, putting extremely important personal and professional data at permanent risk.

Very disappointed with the negligence, lack of accountability and irresponsible handling by Samsung Authorized Service Center, Safdarjung Enclave.
