[Resolved]  Shine.com — Scamming People

Payment. Later on[protected] I received a call from a Shine representative who mentioned he is about to discuss job seeking after enquiring what type of role I am looking for he mentioned he had already gone through my profile and mentioned jobs abroad you need your education and job role verified and he sent me proforma invoice of Rs.5192 for this and mentioned don’t worry sir these are nothing once you get a job you will definitely find it worth it. He mentioned I missed the part 2 payment (but actually the email was sent once I made the first payment) that I paid for education payment only and still job verification payment is pending it was Rs.9556 and I paid since he insisted. Later he sent me another link for Rs.16794 and asked me to proceed with the payment when I asked he mentioned writing the resume according to country standards and mine is not up to mark. We will take care of not getting the resume rejected and prepare accordingly. Hence I made the payment as well. Later he said again I missed the part 2 payment (same second payment link was only sent after I paid the first payment). I made the payment of Rs.27138. He said he will send me the link to upload my Last salary slip and education certificate once this is done. But he sent me another link for Rs.38762 and said this is the final payment. I said this looks like scamming and you didn’t explain these initially at all. He mentioned we are from shine.com and part of Hindustan Times and you can trust us, sir. There is nothing to worry you make the payment and you won't regret it later when you get a job overseas and you will make 3 or 4 times higher than here and you need to be active here within a month we will make sure you get a job of your choice and all. I did the payment of Rs.38762 as he mentioned and he again said I missed the part 2 payment (same second payment link was only sent after I paid the first payment) without that he wouldn’t be able close and he mentioned that’s the last payment, sir. I hesitated but made the payment at last for Rs.37139. He then mentioned I need to proceed with closure and certain information and we are done. He sent me another proforma invoice of Rs.12180 for closure. When I queried why there is payment for closure, he mentioned this is the final payment and once you are done we will send you the confirmation as well in email and requested me to send an Initiate process email to [protected]@shine.com which I did but When I did the calculation all the payments I made in the call it was coming to Rs.134581. And in the proforma, I noticed he mentioned a Six Sigma course etc. I questioned him I don’t want to enrol on these courses and proceed without a course. He mentioned this is how it works without you making the closure payment we can’t proceed further. Then I went through all the proforma he was actually enrolling me on different courses and I asked why do you enrolling me on courses which I didn’t ask for. You didn’t say about this either to me. But the representative started laughing at me. I was looking for a job change and not for courses. They gave me no time do my reserach nor explained me about the courses initially. When requested for cancellation, they were behaving unprofessionally and even the representative started laughing at me After my request for cancellation and even after chasiung multiple times via email they stopped responding to my queries. I have zero interest in pursing the course via them and requested cancellation on same day. Indian law doesn't allow them to withhold the payment for the courses I didn't pursure. I have requested them to delete the account, but they gave option only to make account inactive despite multiple requests. Even after making it inactive they still spamming my inbox and keep receiveng calls from shine.com
