Shine executives have used predatory sales practices to coercing me into buying job search-related services. The representative (Ajay) first quoted the price of the service as 3600 rs which I was willing to take. But once I made the payment they scheduled a call with a counselor who convinced me that in order for them to be able to help me find a job they would require multiple people to work with me and therefore I'd have to buy more services and sent a payment for another service worth 6900.
I told them that this was unfair and only because the price they had initially quoted was 3600 that I decided to use this service and wouldnt have taken had I known that the total price was[protected]+6900). I asked them very clearly if I would need any other service beyond this to which they said no. I made this payment as well. they then asked me to confirm if I had made both payments. I assumed it was the 3600 and 6900 payments I had made but the representative (Gagan Sharma) said that they meant the two new services they emailed me about. That's when I realized that they had intentionally sent the email for another service worth 15000 late after I made the payment for the 6900 services. I have attached a screenshot of the same with the time difference in the email. When I got angry and asked them why did they not clarify that the total service was worth 25000, they tried to cover up by saying that sir we meant all the services we just mentioned. They had conveniently merged the details for all the service in the conversation before the payment and never clarified that these are independent services that would be charged separately or the prices for each. When I retaliated saying that I don't want any of these services and please cancel everything and refund my money they started saying they cant do that since they don't have a refund policy. I wrote an email to their customer service immediately saying that I had been coerced into buying these services and I do not want to use any of these and I haven't activated anything since the services were yet to be activated. I sent the email with screenshots of yet to be activated services that I have attached here as well and they reverted saying they would look into the matter. The next day their executive Mohammad Taiyyab called me to explain my concern but kept saying that 'these are not valid concerns' and 'these are your opnions'.
Shine has mentally harassed me by denying a refund of my money despite such serious concerns and I request you to take action for the same. Was this information helpful? |
