I am Chelimilla Ravi Kumar Hyderabad, and I were seeking a job when I came across an advertisement for Simplilearn on various social media platforms. The advertisement claimed to offer a 100% job guarantee program with the cost of RS. 198000/- within 6 months with seven certifications. If not the total amoun t will be refund. Intrigued by the program, I booked an appointment to learn more.
After speaking with one of the agents, I were convinced to join the 6 months Data Science Job Guarantee program, as they emphasized the potential of data science as a future career with a salary of minimum 5 LPA (Lakh Per Annum). Despite expressing concerns about not understanding coding, the agent assured me that they would teach me from scratch.
Due to my family's financial situation, I were unable to make the full payment of INR 198, 000 for the program upfront. Simplilearn then suggested paying through their own EMI options, offering me to two choices: a lump sum payment or EMI payment facilitated by Simplilearn. After discussing with my parents, my parents agreed to pay EMI only for 6 months and the remaining balance using my job placement after completing the program.However, it appears that I later discovered that the EMI option was provided by a third-party bank named Propelld rather than Simplilearn themselves.
Once I enrolled in the course (Data science Job guarantee cohort 3), I found that the lectures and content explanation were satisfactory but felt that the teaching of code and concepts could have been better. The instructors advised not to focus on learning code extensively and instead prioritize understanding the concepts and completing projects to unlock certificates.
After four months of program, I encountered a problem when Simplilearn added an additional certification called "Job Readiness" without notifying me via email or any other communication. This certification included two projects, and a simulation test conducted on a platform called Webcap. Struggling with the interface and having only three attempts, I raised a ticket seeking assistance. However, the support team was unhelpful, not providing any demo videos or test manuals, and simply urging me to attempt the test without clarifying my concerns about limited attempts.
Due to their delayed responses and lack of support, I spent two months trying to complete the test. However, as the six-month duration of the job guarantee program ended, I had only two attempts left, I frequently contacted for demo videos and manuals. At that time the supporting staff of simplilearn suggested me to not bother about the attempts and just to take the exam, eventually failed the exam and left with last attempt. Distressed and confused, I contacted Simplilearn again, I questioning what will happen If I didn’t complete the test, then they have told me that if you didn’t pass the test you will not get the job. The above conditions are not mentioned while joining the program. I continuously try to contact with the agent. However, neither the agent nor the manager could provide any satisfactory response or solution.
The litigations I encountered not only resulted in the loss of crucial time in my career but also left me feeling immensely stressed and confused. Meanwhile, while exploring job assistance opportunities on other websites, agents from different universities informed me that the projects I had completed hold no value for my certificates due to their outdated nature. This revelation has added to my stress and further contributed to my feelings of depression.
Despite my earnest request for a refund from Simplilearn, following the unsettling series of events I experienced, I have been met with a lack of responsiveness. Their customer care representatives have been unhelpful, repeatedly stating that they are currently reviewing the refund procedures without providing any concrete assistance or resolution. This continued lack of response further compounds my disappointment and frustration with Simplilearn's handling of the situation.
I deeply regret the distressing experience I've had with Simplilearn. Despite my continuous attempts to reach out to their customer support, including raising a ticket, I have not received a satisfactory response even after 15 days. To my surprise, they unlocked my certificate, contrary to their own policies which require it to be unlocked only upon successfully passing the exam. This action raises concerns about their integrity and suggests a fraudulent mentality. Moreover, the unlocked certificate holds little value since it was done so after the expiration of the three-month period, rendering it essentially useless. It is disheartening to witness Simplilearn's failure to provide quality education and their apparent disregard for the value of their certificates, ultimately leading to a loss of trust and dissatisfaction among students.
Therefore, I kindly urge you to thoroughly investigate this matter and sincerely request your assistance in facilitating the refund process and canceling the EMI arrangement. Your prompt attention and support in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.
