I own a Skoda Superb - my car is nearly 6 years old and has clocked ~65000 Kms - I have got the car regularly serviced.
Last week - I was driving the car (with my school going son on the back seat) at around 60KPH and suddenly the car stopped accelerating ( as it it is in neutral) - I pressed the accelerator and no drive power at all. The car started to slow on it own - and cars behind me honking.
Luckily, I pressed the hazard lights and stayed calm on the steering wheel - had I tried to brake on the middle of the road - there could have been a huge accident.
I took the car to the service station and was told that the MECHATRONIC part has failed and since car is out of warranty - I need to pay for it
My question to the Service Manager - top end model of Skoda done ~65K kms - serviced regularly - the least I expect is such an 'critical' part in DSG engine to fail. I requested that this part be replaced free of cost as this is a critical part and could have led to a catastrophic event.
I would like to register my complaint with the Skoda India management team - pls own up to this 'rarest of rare' failure of MECHATRONIC part and replace it free of charge Was this information helpful? |
