Southern Railway — No digital cancellation facility at reservation counter made me loose Rs 7300 | |||
Hi, Ticket booked sl from gy to rjy (Boarding at guntakal-gtl), Train prasanthi express/18464 Pnr[protected] Journey date : 16 may, 2017 Booking date : 1 apr 2017 Booked at rajahmundry railway reservation counter using credit card whereas one person is not travelling. So i reached out to gtl the day before the date of journey for partial cancellation, they said they are not having the cancellation policy for the tickets booked using credit card and there is no other alternative other than loosing money. I reached out to ticket collector in train for this, he marked on my ticket and marked in his form as passenger not travelling and suggested me to file tdr in rjy station for the same. Whereas in rjy, they told like this cannot be done here, as tc has to stamp on this ticket. If there is a facility to book tickets using credit/debit card, why there cannot have a facility to cancel ticket which is booked using credit/debit card? Finally i lost the ticket money. I provided details of only one ticket here, whereas the same thing happened for another 14 tickets (7 tickets from rjy to gtl and 7 tickets from gy to rjy) for which all needs to be partially cancelled. But was not done for same reason. We totally lost rs 7300. Please do needful as we lost money only because the digital cancellation system is not available at boarding station.
