Spice Jet Airlines — Unfair business practice | |||
I booked a ticket for my wife, son & mother inlaw who are returning back from Mangalore to Delhi on 18th June. While booking the tickets, due to oversight I put my mother inlaw family name same as ours. Which I realize after obtaining e ticket in less than 10 min of booking the ticket. I called spicejet call center immediately who advised me to write to their CRM which I did promptly, attaching her pan card as proof. They declined it through a routine mail & asked me to pay INR 1500 + the ticket fare difference amounting to INR 2000. I felt let down since I know many case here in India or overseas with reputed low cost budget carrier also making the correction if it is genuine case without any charges. I guess as Spicejet needs funds badly hence they do not care to look into a genuine customer problem either. This could have earned them some lost loyalty they are badly short off right now.
