Star Health And Allied Insurance — Claim rejected by star health

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Star Health and Allied Insurance Company for the unjust rejection of my reimbursement claim under policy number [protected], claim number CIR/2026/161200/0440060.

On 21 06.2025, I contacted Star Health customer care and generated a claim ID for my treatment. However, upon submitting the reimbursement documents, my claim was rejected on the grounds that the treatment was "OPD-based" and not "IPD-based." This classification is incorrect and unfair, as the treatment involved [briefly describe nature of treatment and why it qualifies as IPD].

I escalated the matter to IRDAI through their grievance portal, but no resolution has been provided to date.

I request your kind intervention to investigate this matter and direct Star Health to process my claim fairly.
