Chronology of Events
1. 23 August 2025: I raised a grievance regarding a sudden and unjustified doubling of my premium. Grievance Ticket No. 19995811 was generated.
2. 29 August 2025: Star Health acknowledged my grievance (Ticket No.[protected] but failed to provide any meaningful clarification.
3. 01 September 2025: I was informed that my policy could only be renewed at a much higher premium due to “age slab changes and revised IRDAI-approved products.”
4. 06 September 2025: I received a renewal reminder email from [protected]@starhealth.biz, clearly stating that I had 7 days to renew my Family Health Optima policy due on 30 April 2025.
5. 08 September 2025: Upon visiting the Pondicherry Branch Office for renewal, I was shocked to learn that my policy had already been cancelled without any prior intimation.

Grounds of Complaint
1. Agent’s Negligence:
The Star Health agent failed to inform me about any migration or renewal requirement for the revised plan, despite my continuous renewal history.
2. Misleading and False Communication:
Even after receiving a written email allowing renewal within seven days, my policy was unilaterally cancelled before the given time frame.
3. Unfair Trade Practice and Deficiency in Service:
The abrupt cancellation of my policy, despite full compliance on my part and without any notice or opportunity for renewal, constitutes a clear deficiency in service.
4. Mental Agony and Financial Distress:
After paying premiums regularly for 12 years, being left without health coverage has caused significant mental harassment, emotional distress, and financial risk.

Reliefs Sought
I humbly request the Hon’ble Forum to:
1. Direct Star Health to immediately reinstate my cancelled policy or migrate me to an equivalent or superior plan (e.g., Super Star Plan), ensuring uninterrupted coverage and a fair premium.
2. Order compensation for the mental agony, harassment, and inconvenience caused due to the insurer’s negligence and unfair conduct.
