I would like to lodge a complaint against Star Health Insurance regarding the renewal of my policy (Policy No. [protected]).
I renewed the policy through the Star Health Insurance mobile application and paid the premium amount displayed by the app. After successful payment, the application showed the message, "Policy documents will be ready after current expiry date, " indicating that the renewal process had been completed.
However, Star Health Insurance has not renewed my policy and is now demanding an additional payment of ₹3, 750 to complete the renewal. This additional demand was not disclosed at the time of payment, and I relied on the premium amount displayed in the insurer's official application.
I raised a complaint with Star Health Insurance under Ticket No. 26275633, but I have not received any response or resolution. I have also attempted to contact their higher-level support channels without success.
I request your intervention in this matter and seek a fair resolution. Since I paid the premium amount quoted by the insurer's official application, I believe the policy should be renewed without any additional charges. Alternatively, Star Health Insurance should provide a clear and justified explanation for the discrepancy.
