State Bank Of India [SBI] — Cyber Crime Fraud Complaint

Dear SBI Team,

I Padma Naveen Kumar a savings account holder with SBI Doordarshan branch with account number: [protected]

Please be informed that I am a heart patient. I need open heart surgery in the coming month as one of the mitral valve is damaged and it needs valve replacement. I need around 6 lakhs for the operation out of which I managed to arrange Rs 2, 32, 988 INR till now. But now the total amount has been deducted.

This is to bring to your notice that on March 24, 2021 morning between 8:30 am to 9:00 am my amount of Rs 2, 32, 988 INR got deducted from my savings account without my notice.

I reached SBI Doordarshan branch and resisted a complaint on March 24, 2021 at 12:20 PM. I have also raised a complaint with Cyber Crime Cell with complaint number: GNo.1314/Cyber Crime/RCK/2021. I am herewith attaching all the complaint letters over email.

Case History:

On March 24, 2021 morning 8:40 am I received a call from +91-[protected] at 8:30 am, the mentioned his name as Vivek and he was speaking north Indian hindi slang (I have the call recordings with me attached). He said my SBI account has been blocked and I should unlock it. He said I received an SMS message and he insisted me to read the message which has a number in it. I denied to read the sms message and disconnected the call. He called me again and started giving me my account details, branch information, account number, PAN number, email address and phone number. When I asked him where he received these details from, he said he is calling from SBI Doordarshan Branch to complete my KYC. He again insisted on me reading the SMS message. I again denied and said I will go to the bank to get it resolved and disconnected the call. In a few minutes, I received 2 (two) sms messages stating the amount deducted for RS 1, 50, 000 INR and Rs 62, 000 INR. I immediately called SBI support and raised a dispute for unauthorized amount deductions and blocked my debit card and requested to block my account. While speaking to the SBI support person, I received a third SMS message stating deduced for Rs 20, 988 INR and my account balance became zero.

I informed the bank manager about the complaint and she said she started the investigation and she needs time to investigate.

(The Cyber Crime SI sir side one of the SBI branch managers called him today and said this is happening with SBI branch only the amount will no. reflected in the savings account for 48 hours and the same will be moved to Indusind Bank and from there the amount will be withdrawn).

Request your immediate intervention on the same.
