I have purchased a product from Amazon on 05/10/2024, in which principal amount booked was 28, 285. The payment schedule was converted to no-cost EMI on SBI Credit Card. The amortization schedule was received vide email on 18/10/2024, which is attached below.
A screenshot of amazon app is also attached where EMI amount is shown for 9 months as 3352.72. I have paid all the EMI's before due dates for 9 months from Oct'24 to Jun'25. However, during July month statement, an additional amount of Rs 58 has been shown as outstanding.
When I contacted customer care, they said that some interest is balance. Hence, it is being recovered. This is completely unethical as it is a last minute change and it is defying their own amortization schedule. This is just pulling extra money from consumer after booking EMI, as now neither product can be returned and they are giving non-genuine reasons like interest is balance.
