[Resolved] Sterling Holiday Resorts — Denial of refund of sterling membership withdrawal | |||||
It all started on 8th March 2016 when we decided to take their membership after their sales executive gave us a false and rosy picture regarding their sterling holiday plan. We were told that we will get 14 days free RCI holidays .Also we will get 4 days free sterling welcome holidays and also we can avail their regular either 7 days international or 14 days domestic stay. We were asked to pay the down payment of Rs.102885/- which we had made. We were told that since we have taken their red membership card we can get in any of their hotels a confirmation and we have to just book 15 days in advance. The executive had told us that this year we do not have to pay their annual subscription fee (asf) that is Rs.11000 that too we have to pay that only after 2 years if we take the RCI holidays and not for their sterling holidays. We had specifically told the executive that we will take the membership only if they would arrange for your vacation at New York .However when we asked them, it was denied to us and the RCI said that we don't offer it in the 14 days free stay offer. So we asked them to give us the reservation on our regular 7 days offer. But that too they denied saying non availability of rooms in new york. Then we were asked to pay rs.11000 for that . We agreed to pay but still there was no assurance that we will get reservation! So after all this harassment we have decided to withdraw our membership as we cannot tolerate the same for next 25 years. We have already sent a cancellation email on 6th of May which is before 60 days of down payment and therefore we are eligible for refund of money according to their terms and conditions. So we request you to kindly look into this matter and provide us justice to get the refund of our hard earned money. Was this information helpful? | |||||
