Refund on cancelling room 3days in advance

I have made 2 bookings in Ooty Sterling resorts for 16th August, one in Elk hill and other in Fern hill. As per Agoda policy free cancellation is available up to 12midnight. By 12.15am I called Sterling and dasked if free cancellaltion is possible. They directed me to call back at 9.30am. unjust aac charges for sterling timeshare membership

I'd like to formally lodge a complaint regarding my Sterling Resorts VTS membership. My customer number is 81879, and I have been a member of Sterling Timeshare since 1998 under a 99-year lease agreement. Regrettably, I have only utilized the services of the company once in the past 26 years.

Sterling Holidays Resorts Sterling Holiday Resorts - Beware

I am a member of Sterling Holidays since 2015. When I joined, their relationship manager told me that I can avail holidays in any season but the respective season points will be deducted. However, I found that this was not the case, and I was not allowed to book in other seasons. Had I known this I would never have signed up.

Sterling Holiday Resorts - Beware of the biggest fraudulent time share company

But I don’t have documents of 55455 to applying for duplicate documents they need mobile number updated.
For mobile number update they need documents.
My ID is active & submitting ID proof is not sufficient itseems how irrelevant is that.

    Sterling making fool to all members. They are giving membership and not giving rooms. every time rooms are in waiting list and same time on other website rooms are available.

    I am facing this issue for the third time. rooms available on other application like MMT, GO IBIBO, ETC but not available on sterling portal for his member.

    Pathetic service. stop making fool to people. they are calling for upgrade every three to four days.

      I had taken Sterling resorts membership way back in early 90's, at that time it was given for 99 years.

      As per my agreement they will have to build a resort in Bhimtal, which till date they have failed to do so.

      They have been asking for AAC charges from last 5 years for a property that does not exist.

      Moreover they did not allow me to book the resort for non payment of AAC, and now they are threatning to terminate my membership.

      I have written many mails, have spoken with many agents, however till date there has been no resolution.

      As per my agreement if Sterling fails to build a resort in Bhimtaal, they cannot ask for any AAC, and also liable to pay interest for the delay period.

        Sterling is cheating by making all the long weekend as red season and ineligible to book for white /blue studio members

        Earlier at least I was able to book some holidays but recent 2 or 3 years they are trying this trick of blocking the long weekends and constantly insisting all white /blue to upgrade to red season by demanding more amount..
        I have 2000+ points and some elapsed also due to this act of Sterling..

        While selling the membership they have told we can book during red/purple season but points detected will be more is what they have told and thats how we were using the holiday points earlier. Now they are forcing all to upgrade by not providing holidays

        Say for example
        If I am a white studio member and if there is any long weekend I will be ineligible to book until 15 days by that time all the rooms are getting booked and I see only waiting list all the time. Same is the case if we call customer care also for booking they will say Madam you can try only 15 days before the actual date of travel.. Very much waste of money

        I would like to surrender and get a refund of my membership fee..

          I made a booking at Sterling Park Kalimpong for 2 person, 2 nights. I provided the credit card information for security against the booking. It was supposed to be pay at property and cancellable free of charge untill 3 days of checkin.

          As soon as I made the booking amount 20621 INR got debited from my credit card without any prompt from Sterling Hotel or Booking.com, Credit card statement says the amount has been paid to "Sterling Holidays Reso" and this payment has been done without authorisation.

          I tried calling booking.com and they said that hotel has clearly charged the money and said credit card details were shared to hotel.

          When I have been calling Sterling Resort Kalimpong, since 4th September to today 15th September they have not acknowledged that the money has been debited from them nor did they take the concern seriously neither they mailed me about any charge done on my credit card.

          Upon seeing that they have charged the card and not replying I cancelled the reservation from booking.com and booking.com multiple times assured me I will receive my payment back from Sterling but I did not receive any payment back neither from booking.com or Sterling which i was supposed to get at 8th September as soon as I cancelled.

          I have been calling Sterling Resort daily but no official reply or anything about payment they have told me.

          Please help me get the money back. Also it looks like a cyber crime on how booking.com shared my credit card information to hotel people.

          We tried reaching the number which you have shared in screenshot. But the number says it is currently not available.

          We really apologize for the delay in response. As per the update we have received from resort team. The refund is already initiated on 15th Sep 2023 from the resort side. As booking.com do not share the guest contact details. We could not update you on the same. I have attached the Refund screenshot for your reference.

          As per the payment policy that you had enquired. You may find the details under Your payment schedule instruction on booking.com page that the property will charge you a prepayment at any time. And that was the reason the resort charged you on the same day. But as you have cancelled the booking under cancellation policy the resort have initiated the refund for your cancelled booking.

          So, kindly be rest assured that your money will be refunded in another 3 to 5 business days to the same account. Incase of any further assistance. Please do feel free to contact us on [protected] between 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We would be happy to assist you further.

            Extra Charge for Child + Advance Payment in Full

            We are members, and tried to book 2 rooms at Sterling, Yelagiri. We are a party of 4 Adults+1 Child, so we booked for 2 Rooms. However we faced following 2 Glitches:
            1) While trying to enter total number of persons, it is not accepting the child. After checking with Reservations, I am told that there will be additional charges for the child to the tune of INR 885.00 per night. This charge is extremely high.

              Hi Team,
              Sterling marketing team literally cheated me to avail membership at the time of visiting sterling kodai resort. Basic plan 3lakh 49 thousand they said and received immediately from me 1 lakh 97 thousand for membership through my credit card. After made the payment they are not providing membership ID /booking rooms - some website issue and delayed each and every time buying time from me. I reviewed all the incident happened in sterling Holidays resort and asked to refund my deposit amount. They nearly 2 months nothing happened, and now their team head saying refund will provide after deduction. And threating like you have to pay balance amount or else will refund very less amount (not mentioned the amount too).
              Every time they need 2 days time or 4 days time to reply but nothing will happened, Simply providing false statement and changing guys frequently and if i asked they are in leave. How to get my hardly earned money from these cheaters.

                Booking No. : [protected] check-in date[protected], and check-out date[protected].

                Had booked on 14th July 2021 and then cancelled it after 5 mins. As per the terms laid out to me, full amount should be refunded to me if cancelled before 15th July 2021. Wrote for a refund of the money, thereafter received a mail from Sterling Puri that they will issue voucher of same amount, which I declined and asked them for a complete refund as per their terms and conditions, have written multiple times to them, they do not respond and have not received the refund till date.

                  I had reserved few rooms in Sterling yelagiri from 29th April till 1st May 2023. The booking was made on 16th April and paid an advance of Rs.36, 000/- to confirm the reservation.

                  Later on 18th April I had requested to cancel this booking due to Medical Emergency that one of our family member was Hospitalized for an immediate surgery. Ramachandran, who was the First point of contact for this entire booking had understood the situation and confirmed that the booking has been cancelled as per request and secured the approvals for the FULL REFUND considering my situation.

                  Ramachandra & Sukesh had confirmed that the Approvals had been taken up with MD & Accounts team for the Full Refund. Yet, its been more than a month the Refund is still not complete.

                  I would appreciate if this could be resolved and my refund is processed ASAP.

                    We made a booking which was tentative and seeing the T&Cs which mentioned that the booking can be cancelled 48 hours prior to checking.
                    However within booking in an hour, our plan changed and we reached out to customer care support, there was no response on the IVR. WE MADE ATLEAST 10 attempts.
                    Then after we checked on the website which showed a manage booking option, on entering the booking ID and selecting cancel- there was nothing being displayed. Post cancelling, the message loaded that entire amount has been deducted!!!
                    We again reached out to customer care but nobody picked on 3 June ( same day as booking).
                    We wrote emails and got no response on them.
                    It’s 4th June today and customer care is again not picking and still not received any reply on email.
                    As per their website their business hours are open currently.
                    Please help with the refund its our hard earned money!!!
