Sterling Holiday Resorts — Extra Charge for Child + Advance Payment in Full

We are members, and tried to book 2 rooms at Sterling, Yelagiri. We are a party of 4 Adults+1 Child, so we booked for 2 Rooms. However we faced following 2 Glitches:
1) While trying to enter total number of persons, it is not accepting the child. After checking with Reservations, I am told that there will be additional charges for the child to the tune of INR 885.00 per night. This charge is extremely high.
2) Since I am a member, we have to pay only Utility charges (meaning charges for electricity, water, laundry etc... etc, ). The last step of reservation says "full payment in advance". How can one ask for Utility Charges in advance EVEN BEFORE SUCH SERVICES ARE AVAILED OF ??? This is simply unheard of.
Looks like Sterling Resorts is in a hurry to make some money out of it's unsuspecting members.
