[Resolved]  Sterling Holidays Resorts — Club Membership

The Star Inn Suites and Retreat Ltd, company's representatives and their accomplices Mr. Shikhar and Mr. Pintoo ( M# [protected]/ [protected]) request us on 25th November 2020 for meeting at our residence for product promotion with the free offer of 3 nights and four days of holidays as we won after filling their coupon.
They place their ground workers at petrol filling station, malls etc. and in my case it was at Ansal Plaza Khel Gaon Delhi where their representative request to fill up their card for lucky draw and take away your phone no and email for further contact.

On 25th Novermber 2020 Mr. Shikhar & Pintoo came our residence & lure by giving all good points of their holiday packages where they forced us to become members to their company where they said that 70 days of their property would be available for members to enjoy. They mention that the company is about 20 yrs old however it is just about few years old as we checked on internet later. Also they boast that they have their pan india resorts but factually they have only few resorts of their own and rest all are associated properties of others. They misguide by giving incorrect facts and show us good pictures of 4-5 star hotels/properties on laptop claiming their own property available to members at zero cost if we take the membership and asked us to join their company by cheating. They didn't purposefully tell if membership is taken and after that if for any reason someone wants to quit what will be their policy. Actually they make so much pressure that people get confused by their all good promises. They create so much noise in the room that one gets fed up and tired to think. Thus, i also ended up paying 1.55 lakhs for holidays of 70 days for 10 years through my credit card. Very next day when we realized how they duped us by hiding facts, on 26th November 2020 we request through an email to withdraw the membership, till date i requested almost three times that i doesn't wants to continue the membership & for refurnd the money on my original pay of mode. However today we just got an email from their side that it is not possible to withdraw the membership & the amount is non refundable amount. This is very wrong as no contract which any two parties sign in forced situation that too when a legal experts advise is not taken can't be a binding and that too which is not registered with court. For your further course of action till date no membership no. allotted in the name of the members (Namita Rawat/Dalbir Singh). Still they are enforcing us to become members, my question if their offers are that much genuine why they are not cancel & refund our membership fee???????? As if offers & product are lucrative they will definitely get other members very easily.

I have been cheated by the company to become member by concealment of the fact that they intend that no one can leave the membership and thus seek help through consumer forum in retrieving my amount paid to them. My all hard earned money gone on drain moreover i have to pay interest as the whole amount was paid through credit card only.

I advise others to be careful on such type of membership and do not fall prey to offers.

Hope i am able to clear my issue & soon will get positive response on getting refund of my hard earn money.
