I had booked 2 day accommodation at Sterling Thekkady between April 30th and May 2nd.
My booking was confirmed and the payment from my card was deducted on 28th April, I received an confirmation message from Sterling. I called up the front desk on 28th April 3:29 PM and the person confirmed my booking.
On 29th Night at 9 PM when I was already on my travel to Thekkady enroute Madurai I get a message from Sterling that my booking is cancelled.
With almost 15 calls I reached out to them and I was given various reasons like payment not received/ there is an error in system/ I cancelled it which were not true. The manager of the resort could not be found and finally got his number and whatsapp'ed my problem. Mr. Anil Kumar read all my messages and payment screenshots and did not even care to respond. So I can least expect any courteous behaviour from his team.
Its 4 days since this whole issue happened and I tweeted to their twitter handle but there has been no response again.
Sterling messed up my entire vacation, I was stranded at Madurai without knowing where to head to. My travel ticket and the cab which i had booked everything had gone waste due to this careless/ irresponsible management of Sterling Thekkady. Never expected this behaviour from a reputed organization.
Now I want to know when will the refund happen? Where is my money.
Due to this my travel ticket to madurai of 20, 000 and Gozo cab (non refundable booking) 1800 is wasted. I know sterling would never take responsibility of these losses but atleast ethically I expect the refund for my booking which was cancelled by them.
