Owning Sterling holidays had been my parents dream for past two decades right when the cost was in few tens of thousands but they couldn’t afford it then.
I myself approached Sterling expressing my interest in purchasing early this year and I had purchased a 25 year membership by paying Rs.2, 88, 000/- in full back in April 2021 and since then I haven’t used any of the complimentary nights or any of the annual holiday nights so far.
Due to unexpected hospitalizations of family members right after purchasing the membership, I had to request for a full refund owing to my financial situation. But I was told by the refund department that I’d be given only Rs 84, 000/- as refund as per policy.
Which i feel is totally unfair as unexpected situations arise for anyone during the pandemic phase and also considering I’ve not even used any of the membership privileges or the complimentary nights. (I have been requesting full refund for past 4 or 5 months through the Sales manager and then through the Corporate office in Chennai)
My father and I are trying to reach the customer care head/ Vice President (Mr.Badrikant Ganti) over emails/calls and Mr.Ramesh Ramanathan over emails but with no response. This is totally an unprofessional way of handling a customer who has trusted the company for the next 25 years and has paid close to 3 lakhs in full.
I’m writing this here as my last resort and with total loss of interest over the renowned company’s unprofessionalism in dealing with customers, (ZERO CUSTOMER CENTRIC) and not considering customer’s request with genuine unexpected financial crisis.
I hope this lands on the right eyes who would help me in getting the full refund.

Holidays WERE NEVER meant and WILL NEVER BE meant to Indian middle class consumers. NEVER PURCHASE ONE UNLESS you’ll stay unaffected for losing 3 LAKH Rupees.
