The delivery man, after collecting the items ordered, was at the same location for about 10-15 minutes as per the tracker map.
When asked over phone, he replied that he will be reaching in 2 minutes. However, he was still 2 kms away from my place and the eta was changing from 7-9 minutes
After 10 minutes, the location had not changed a bit.
Calling again for the second time, he replies it will take another 5 minutes as he is stuck in traffic jam.
Within 5 minutes of this call, i receive a message that the order has been cancelled. The order was on cod. Cancellation charge of rs 75/- has been raised chargeable on next order.
The swiggy chat support people say that as the delivery boy reached my location and did not find me, the order got cancelled. They are refusing to reverse the cancellation charges.
Can this cheating by swiggy delivery team be checked and stopped?
To add to the fun, a separate order from another neighboring hotel around the same time, got delivered without any problem.
