[Resolved] Symphony Limited — diet 22i air cooler

The purpose of sharing my experience is to help prospect buyers to not to repeat the mistake that I have done by trusting the brand symphony. Though I was aware that in the market coolers from Kenstar and unorganised segment are priced much less than a symphony cooler, I thought it will be a good idea to pay more and be with a good brand and expected professional service. The Diet22i that I have is still under WARRANTY. And so far I have booked 4 service requests; twice by calling symphony customer care [protected], booking a service call request in symphony website and sending an SMS to [protected] which is symphony’s dedicated number to receive service requests through SMS. It has been two days by now, I have not received any message or call from symphony. And the best thing is the company has cunningly not kept any scope to speak to a person while booking a service request. I have understood now that I have been cheated as the money paid to the company for the product includes amounts towards services during the warranty period. So my friend, if you are reading this please avoid making the mistake I have done and avoid buying anything from symphony. Trust me you will be a much happier person without symphony. Just wanted to share how I got a chance to get the service under warranty from symphony. The method may help you in a similar situation. Please read in continuation to my earlier post. Of all the routes to register a complain, I found the email to be effective, as this was the only complaint for which I received an auto generated DO NOT REPLAY MAIL. At the bottom, there was the company address belonging to Ahmedabad, and a phone number +91 7966211111. Wanted to give a try to this number. Had little hope as I had not received any SMS or call till now. To my surprise somebody picked up this call and as I was trying to explain why I have called, he redirected the call to another person. And finally there was a human at the other end I was speaking to. Narrated him my efforts to reach them, and he said, he will see what he can do about it. After few hours I got a call from a technician from Symphony. He assured me that he will visit me the same day. However that did not happen, and after a couple of reminders finally the technician visited me the next day evening. And his attitude is very simple to describe " Am doing you a favour " . I told him that the product is under warranty, why don't you replace the water pump which has started making noise. The answer was ' silence ' . He just cleaned the pump, did not bother to clean the water storage tank. In all about 10 minutes, after leaving poodles of water next to my sofa in the drawing room, he was ready to go back with his assistant. Luckily I had read the instructions that came with the Cooler, so I asked him to replace the honeycomb cooling pad on payment basis. The same was done next day. Thanks for reading.
