[Resolved]  Syntech Technology Pvt. Ltd — Gionee e5 - lcd damaged due to heating problem

Dear Sir/Madam,

I ordered this GIONEE ELIFE E5 mobile phone on ebay.in and got this phone delivered by VALUE PLUS RETAIL PVT. LTD. on[protected]. I bought this mobile after going through all the reviews on various web portals and decided to go by this new unknown brand. I trusted this brand and took risk to invest Rs. 15, 000 as I wanted to try something new brand though I could have bought any other branded handset available in the market under the same price.

After using just only a week this phone started giving problem as It was heating a lot after connecting to the charger for some time. On 02-Feb-2014 it was connected to the charger for some time and in the meanwhile when my wife just took this handset to receive a call, it fell down from her hand on the floor as it was unexpectedly too heated and consequently the LCD screen got damaged extensively and MIC also stopped working.

On next day 03-Feb-2014 my wife took this handset and went to the Karol Bagh service center “Godson Enterprises” to complaint about this issue but it was very unpleasant and irresponsible behaviour from their side. The service center unit refused to register her complaint with giving rude reply that they do not entertain queries after 6 p.m. but when my wife told them that she had come from too far as the availability of gionee service centers are quite a few and not a single service center is in place in South Delhi District.

It was very harassing experience from Karol Bagh service center and also from the GIONEE customer care executive on Toll Free Number :[protected] whom she called to escalate this issue. When she requested them to listen to her problem and whole issue then they agreed listen to her but they were not ready to register her complaint on their record for whatever reason. They surprisingly asked to pay for LCD replacement and repair charges without even testing and just by looking at the handset. When my wife told them that it is all because of the heating problem but they seems to have likely set a pet sentence that you will have to pay for the physical damage and the customer care executive was also repeating the same thing very bluntly.

I have also sent a mail to their customer care emial id "[protected]@gionee.com" but they also replied in same rude manner that "physical damage not cover under warranty".

I request you to kindly help me to get the replacement of this mobile phone or return my hard earned money back.
