Greetings for the day!
I'm prasad a resident of porur chennai. Today i visited tasmac arcot road virugambakkam, opp to american american eye care centre. I asked for a beer in tasmac shop, the shop person asked me to take the beer from the next potti snacks shop. I went there n asked him for a beer and he charged ₹.160 for a tuborg beer for which printed mrp is only ₹140. When questioned the same, he says that everyone are purchasing a beer for ₹·20 extra for chilling. I asked him for the price of non chilled beer and he says that also ₹.160. When i asked him why?, he snached the bottle from my hand and throw my money back on my face by using inproper language. Later i asked my friend to purchase the same. As i am a citizen of india, i have right to question such issues. As per consumer law act "cold beverages should be served chill without any extra charge in above mrp". I been in hyderabad telangana since last 10yrs, they never charge extra above the mrp price. This is happening only in tamil nadu... Why you officials are not taking any action against this issue. This is not happend only at this place. Every tasmac outlet, this kind of issues are taking place. I hqve the completed proof with recorded video of the same issue. If i do not get any response within 7working days to my mail id, i will file the same under section 249 for obsense or using filthy language in public against tasmac and the outlet employees.
