[Resolved] Tata Docomo — Incorrect Billing Charges | |||
Dear Team, I am using Tata Docomo connection for 3+ years now and highly disappointed with the way I am being treated by the company. I raised a complaint regarding a roaming charge of 570 INR for the month of Aug 2014. Without addressing any issues, the complaint was closed by stating that the charges are incorrect. Please see below few charges (sample) included in my bill - 1) 1.39 MB data usage in 10 seconds 2) 9.04 MB data usage in 16 seconds 3) 5.46 MB data usage in 56 seconds 4) 5.19 MB data usage in 5 seconds In hilly areas, where getting regular network is a challenge; I have been charged for such items by stating that I used some other network for accessing internet. I did not select any network manually for accessing internet. I use a Samsung Galaxy Y - GTS5360 phone which has a RAM of 290MB. On this phone, no one can ever utilise this kind of data and that too at such speeds on any network. Even if the data usage is calculated at the maximum (theoretical) speed, such kind of data usage is not possible. Appreciate if you can resolve the complaint at earliest. On the Tata Docomo website, I tried 5 times to include the details; however, the page kept on refreshing and I could not add this. I have already written to Mr. Elango Thambiah (President) to address this issue. Barring the disputed amount, I already paid my bill for the earlier month and the previous month. However, today my outgoing is not working. This is extremely frustrating to see this. The call center team I have contacted talking to did not even bother to convey before disconnecting the calls. Some one just transferred the call, it was ringing for 2 minutes and again disconnected. One can't get any bitter experiences than this. As per the discussion over the call on your number. We would like to inform you that you have been correctly charged as per your GPRS usage while you are in roaming. Hence be informed that, under roaming if the network is of Tata Docomo, there will be no special charges. If the same gets latched with any another network, you will be getting charged as 10PS/10KB. Kindly make a note.

If you carefully look at the details in my email, you can identify the anomalies in the bill.
