[Resolved]  Tata Motors — engine turning off while in driving mode

Address:180005

This is to bring to your notice that our vehicle tata bolt – jk02bq 2949, top model which was purchased from fair deal motors, jammu in the year 2016 has been suffering from fatal issues which have put our life at risk. The problem has been repeatedly logged with the service centre staff and the manager namely sahil jamwal but to no avail.
The car which is still as good as new had started giving trouble in the first year after purchase.
The problem
While in driving mode, all of a sudden the engine gets turned off thus cutting all the power to the vehicle causing it to slow down and finally halt. This has put us in life ending situations multiple times and the same was reported during scheduled services to fairdeal motors, tata service staff.
At first they said there could be a problem with the spark plugs as they are required to be reseated during service of car. Right after the service was done, the fairdeal motors, tata service staff informed that they have taken care of the same and that the car is ok to be taken home.
Right after a day the problem started again, where the engine turned off while i was overtaking and that put me in fix and somehow i narrowly escaped from a road accident. I called the service manager who asked me to get the car to service centre. I sent the car to the centre and asked them to test drive the vehicle. According to them the car ran smoothly. I reached on the spot and went with them for another test drive. Right after we came back from the test drive, the car automatically started throttling to 2000 or more rpms without the accelerator being pressed.
The staff noted and diagnosed that the problem could be related the fuel pump that requires to be changed and that should take care of it all.
The car was parked for two days in the service centre over the weekend. On monday, june 22, 2018 i enquired with the manager services, fair deal motors, gangyal about the progress of my car’s repair. He said that car has been fixed and on my request he agreed to drop the car to my residence. I didnot test the car on the same evening as the car was dropped at 7 pm june 22, 2018.
The next day i took the car out for a drive and to my surprise the car had developed another snag. Now the car breaks throttle. Suddenly while driving for 10 minutes the car’s engine turns off and then on and then off and then on and then off (Jhatkas or dhakkas). While this toggle is ongoing, the car starts beeping badly. The temperature indicator blinks multiple times and alarm is heard. The air conditioner suddenly starts blowing hot air and then car gets turned off.
Pertinently, the subsequent problem only started after the claimed repair of the fuel pump by the tata service centre and it is getting severe by the day. The car has been parked at my residence since and not being driven.
The first problem was reported to the tata team who called for grading my service experience who then further called the fair deal motor staff to make amends.
The diagnosis itself is harassing me as i have to refuel the car every time before sending the car to the service centre and then by the time the car is back, it needs to refuelled again. If the fault has not been fixed why should i pay for the fuel charges that arise out of failed diagnosis?

This is highly unprofessional of tata motors to sell a faulty product and putting the customers’ life at risk.
It is also the incompetence of the service staff that is using the hit and try technique for the so called diagnosis which has not worked until now.
I by the means of this letter ask you to kindly replace my car as soon as possible failing which i would be suing tata.
