Tata Motors — Frequent problems arising in our Tata Altroz

With great distress, I wish to inform you that we had purchased a Tata Altroz in September, 2022 and just after a period of 2 years, it is troubling us so much that we have no option but to reach out to you for help. Since 10th of March, the car's TPMS alert along with ABS check-light has been beeping continuously while flashing the overheat sign of the engine. It was taken to SRM Motors in Hindnagar, Lucknow at that time itself since it is nearer our home. The people over there used a laptop to diagnose the problem in the car and resolved the issue. However, they did not inform us the reason for this fault and never issued any job cards.

The same problem arose on 29th of March, 2025 and on 1st April, 2025, we took the car to Goldrush, Vibhuti Khand, Lucknow, which is nearer to our office.That day too, the laptop was used once again to resolve the issue but they had no idea as to the reason of it. Hence, the root-cause was never known and went on unresolved.

Just days after the 2nd incident, on 29th April, 2025, the overheating icon is flashing again with the continuous irritating beeping noise along with the ABS and TPMS check-lights glowing in the instrument cluster.

This problem has become a regular feature of our car and we need to take it to the service centre only to be plugged in with a laptop and never diagnosing the real issue or resolving the issue all for once. It is really pathetic that the car we had bought for our convenience is actually making our life tough, draining us of our resources and wasting our time.

We had purchased a Tata car only because of the goodwill created by the legend Sir Ratan Tata and P.M. Modi's urge to opt for products made in India. However, our decision 2 years ago is making us cry now. The after sales services of Tata Motors is horrible beyond the wildest dreams. This is a major issue that is troubling us. There are other issues too viz. the infotainment screen going blank.
