Hello there,
I’m YOGESH from Lucknow, owner of Tata Tiago. My Tata Tiago XZ(P) car had some strange noise coming from under-side for a few days. Upon inspection by a driver at my office, he informed me of broken Rear Twist Beam and told to get it fixed ASAP. I visited SRM Tata Motors Vikash Nagar Lucknow the very next day.
Service advisor Mr. Ankit Tiwari, upon inspection asked me get it claimed from their Bodyshop. As I had purchased this car and all scheduled services, P2P and Extended Warranty including insurance (Tata Motors insurance brokerage) all were from SRM, I thought it to be normal inter-department working.
Now after few days, their bodyshop division is telling me that Insurance Company Surveyer Mr. Saroj Verma declined to cover it as not being accidental case & this is a quality issue, to be covered by OEM(Tata Motors).
I should have not been made to run from pillar to post, firstly because it had to be fixed from Warranty, it has been more than a month now.
At this point it would be right to note that Mr. Satish Katare had the exact same issue and reported on this forum which justifies Surveyer’s claim that without any accidental marks on broken part it must be quality issue from Tata Motors end. Please resolve the issue immediately as it’s adverse to Tata Motors reputation. And exhausting all the options available, I’ll have to file lawsuit as already many others facing same issue due to poor quality at Tata Motors end.
