I noticed a charge for active learning pack in my september bill. On checking back with tata sky - i was informed that this was activated based on IVR thru my registered mobile number on 25th july 2015. But such an ivr activation is not possible as I was not in india on those dates. And had left my mobile in india. There was no such outgoing call made from my mobile even as per my mobile call logs on that date. Repeated follow ups to tata sky have been futile. Even their nodal officer has sought to summarily dismiss the issue without investigations. Escalation to harith nagpal their CEO have also failed. If this be happenning with bills of other customers even 10%, we are talking about 1 million customers at the very least - and all getting surreptiously over charged by Rs 50 - Rs 100 every month .. So an over charging of approx Rs 50 million every month by tata sky. And no clarifications / explainations given. So customers be aware. Check your bills carefully.. I will be shifting out of tata sky ( and perhaps back to either cable connection or internet based tv or a cheaper more reliable provider ) this year. Tata sky is a blot on the name of Tatas.
