[Resolved] Tata Sky — channels dropped | |||
This is utter shame that tatasky has readily agreed on an annual contract for certain no of channels and accepted payments for one complete year in advance. And on noticing that we are unable to view channels broadcasted by sony when we were eagerly waiting to watch kaun banega crorepati the traumatising journey of consumer started. We have made 84 calls in total from 21:00 till 21:54 on 01/10/2018 to wich their (Tatasky) ivr threw random massages of the number doesn’t exist/is busy/being incorrect and what not, we got connected to tatasky’s call centre three times to which the executives hung up twice on us and finally we spoke to rishabh koundal sr exc to make an official complaint to which he repeatedly said there is no complaint, it was hard to make him understand that i am the consumer and i will decide not you and i want to complain about this issue. He was reluctant to log that as a complyand share the complaint reference no (180nup68), he gave different reasons for what went wrong today. He mentioned that due to price hike from sony the contract between sony and tatasky did not renew and we have circulated this information in some daily newspapers to which i was shocked and furious that tatasky uses registered mobile no a unique identifier to identify customers and important notifications are circulated in newspapers which is nonsense in today’s world. Also tatasky notifiers customers to pay additional charge for any other add onn channel but important notification which will impact their customers are circulated in newspapers. And the excuse provided is no excuse to me as i have paid for one year and tatasky is bound to provide uninterrupted service for that period of time. This dis not happen as our entire family missed the saptkoti episode of kaun banega crorepati. And received a call from complaint resolution team of tatasky stating we are crediting ₹3.75 and the issue stands resolved from now on. If you feel that this is a resolution and is fare enough then i shall keep mum even after paying for one year in advance and if you don’t find it fair then come up with a reasonable resolution and compensation to what my family had to suffer. Commercial negotiations with broadcasters broke down because what they were seeking would have forced us to hike our prices.
