[Resolved]  Tata Sky — channels packages changed without consent

I had recharged my tata sky account on 13 feb 2019, i contacted customer care on how much should i recharge for as i need to retain the old package, i was told to pay rs. 725 pm which i did, i checked with the manager regarding trai rules and he specifically said that it has been extended to 31 march 2019 and i can continue using the old package which amounted to rs 725. I was able to get all the channels which i required even though the cost was high but all of sudden the packages are changed today. No movie channels are available and they have changed the package to something which i dont even require. When i contacted chat support they were ignorant and i called to speak to customer care. Just as a spoiler for a beautiful day the chat support and customer care agent on call both were in competition to prove who is more ignorant and how can they trouble a customer. Finally i spoke to a manager who agreed that previous manager gave incorrect information which led to this problem and it as a fault from tata sky but she was not ready to rectify the error, the call was disconnected by the manager however there was no call back made by tata sky as promised that if the call gets disconnected during conversation tata sky will call back immediately. There is no call back from them and shows their clear intentions of robbing customers of their money in the name of trai. If the managers knew that service providers will migrate their customers to the best fit plan carrying their key current channels why was i given wrong information and asked to pay more. The channels which i had selected was lesser than the monthly charge which i am paying now. I was ask to continue with previous package by the manager from customer care of tata sky. Even after acknowledging the mistake nothing is done and they are still asking to choose to the package which a customer want and not owning the responsibility. Why did they not inform us prior that packages will be changed. Now they are charging me for a package which is not to my expectations. A package that costs less than rs. 150. Where there are no channels that is required by me. Also every third channel is tata sky promo nonsense which is being forced upon a customer. If a customer activates it then let them give the specific channel. I have seen advertisement between programs, now its been between channels. Also please have some people with little bit of common sense in customer care dept. No customer will be unprofessional or rude on call until and unless they are forced. This happens with tata sky service and customer care who are very good at it, i think its common for them to make customers unprofessional,

Hi! As per TRAI direction, following the new Tariff order, service providers will migrate their customers to the best fit plan carrying their key current channels. This process is being done in a phased manner every day to migrate the millions of customers by the 31st March. Each customer has the option of changing their channels and packs at any point in time, before or after the migration. For this, please download the Tata Sky App or visit www.mytatasky.com and go to Manage Pack, or visit your nearest dealer.

The comment is same ### but not addressing the managers cheating customers by giving wrong information. Where have you addressed this. In spite of the fact that this is a FORUM people review tata sky has the aducity to cheat customers after accepting their fault.

Why did your customer support manager provide wrong information regarding recharge. Was he not aware of the so called migration. From the channels which I had the so called nearest channels is nothing compared. Why are you robbing customers in the name of TRAI. I have paid money for channels which I want and not which tata sky wants. I am as per TRAI. How can you change it so that you can make money and blame your mistakes on TRAI. When your managers accepted that they have cheated me by giving wrong information how can you have the aducity to reply that you are correct.
