Tata Sky — Cheated by giving a different package

Sub:- Tatasky connection – Subscriber ID No.[protected] – regarding. Ref:- Connection address-Block No.5, House No.573, Lodhi Colony, New Delhi Sir, I to bring to your kind notice the following facts regarding Tatasky connection:- 1. On 6th September, 2015 i called up the customer care department for seeking a Tatasky connection for the package called “South Special package”. 2. It has been informed by one Shri Gautam that the subscribed amount of the package is Rs.2020 including one month subscription and he had noted down the address of Delhi. 3. On 7th September, 2015, the technician had made the installation and after that he had sought Rs.2040 for the package. When, i sought a clarification from the technician regarding the package, he mentioned that the package name is different one (Dhamaka package) where as the package was booked for ‘South Special”. 4. Subsequently, the customer care was called up and were intimated that the package was totally different and wanted to withdraw if the ‘South Special”package was not provided to us. In response to that, the customer care had intimated that this south special package is applicable only for South. 5. However, (Shri Gautam) Customer care did not apprise the factual position about the south special package whereas while booking it was confirmed that this package will be installed at the New Delhi address provided by the customer. 6. Therefore, the customer care was requested to change this package to south special or disconnect the said package and return the money which has been paid to Tatasky. 7. Now, we are forced and compelled to use this unwanted package which has been thrust upon us for no fault of the customer. [It is like you go to a hotel and order a Veg meal but you are served with a Non-Veg meal). This condition, to thrust upon the unwanted package, to the customer is unacceptable. 8. Keeping in view the above facts, the following are stated:- i) Tatasky is requested to take their installation back and pay the money back ie. Rs.2040 along with adequate compensation (or) ii) Connect the package of south special as per the need of the customer and also compensate for the loss being incurred by the customer iii) Adequate Compensation has to be made to the customer for misleading me and causing mental agony and for putting the customer at pressure and in the process the customer has lost peace of mind instead of finding happiness by taking a connection and feel relaxed. 9. An immediate action is required in the matter otherwise, i have no other means but to approach the consumer courts will all facts of the case.
