My tata sky id is [protected]. I registered a compliant with tata sky to replace my set top box as it was not functioning properly. The tata sky executive came on 15th jun'20 and informed us that service charge of 150 will be levied. As our balance was less, he informed to recharge with 1000. Out of this rs. 1000, 150 will be deducted as a part of service charges and we received an sms from tata sky stating the next recharge date as 20 oct'20.
However tata sky discontinued our services on 21st june'20 itself, stating the balance is low. Upon contacting the customer care, we got to know that they had replaced our normal set top box with upgraded hd set top box and hence the rs. 999 are deducted. We told the customer care executive that we need normal set top box as our tv is a old model and doesn't support hd channels. Upon that the executive again checked and said the amount of rs. 1000 is not linked with our tata sky id and raised a complaint on our behalf. The executive also mentioned that back end team will contact us and the issue will be resolved by 24th june.
Since then we are receiving calls from tata sky stating the same reason that due to up-gradation of set top box the charges are deducted. We informed them that our set top box is in warranty and we just need normal set top box. We have also informed them to take away the current hd set top box which they installed on 15th jun'20 and replace it with normal set top box. But we are not receiving any positive response from their end. Hence we have to reach out to consumer complaint forum.
